DSP is the type of guy who pisses besides a toilet, and then gets mad about how ''his pissing doesnt work'' and ''The Toilet wouldnt catch his piss''.

Judging by the amount of credits he has, as well as the fact his weapon does piss dmg, I'm gonna go ahead and say he never really upgraded, and if he actually did, he never upgraded his weapons dmg once. The only blades I can see being used without a secondary is Muramasa and the Fox Blade. But one is dlc, and the other can only be gotten by completing the game. And even then, both need to be upgraded to increase their dmg and other abilities. So choosing Mistral's staff to help was the only good choice he made, but even then he didn't upgrade anything. I've seen players who are fresh to the series, who play this game and have trouble with some mechanics who still remember to upgrade their main blade and secondaries. Phil is just all around terrible Spam grenades, never parry, never upgrade anything, can't position his blade for a straight cut, blame the game when your doing terrible and talk smack about how easy the game is when you're winning. Classic DSP Never fails to remind everyone how terrible and shit a gamer he actually is.

@@moxxiiscarlett7141 I practiced parrying and blocking in every fight I got into and honestly it ain't that hard. Just don't mash buttons while you're doing combos and you'll be able to react in time to either block or parry

From what I remember of other playthroughs of this game, two of the right side buttons also do slashes, a horizontal and vertical slash. Phil stupidly enough is using what is called Free Cut mode to try and slash.

Tbh I have a hard time in blade mode when using the joystick as well but the game barly forces you to have to be that precise. Except for 2 bosses, but during the Armstrong battle you'll able to run away from having to deal with that one, so does that one really count?

I gotta say, I laughed my ass off when I saw Alien:Isolation TIHYDP. DSP sees from motion tracker that Alien is in front of him and hears him making noise, so logical thing is to stay put and keep tabs on Alien at the distance. So what does he do? He keeps his motion tracker drawn and walks straight to the alien. He didn't panic or anything, he was just so dumb that he ignored everything and walked right next to it. After dying he gave his trademark "What was I supposed to do?" and blamed the motion tracker showing that Alien was behind him.

DSP’s monsoon fight is horrible because he doesn’t know how to parry against a boss that’s designed to test your parrying skills

Its the first real boss fight of the game that isnt ludicrously easy like MG Ray, so of course newbies will have some difficulty with him, but DSP is on an entirely different level here. ive been laughing so much at this.

I didn't know how to even maintain a parry, I assumed you could only do a perfectly timed parry and that you had to input it once. I didnt struggle with bladewolf but Monsoon forced me to figure out how to parry properly.

Yeh I just played this for the second time ever after playing a bunch of other action games and this game is insanely fun when you learn how to properly play it

I agree, I had a really hard time until I learned the parry.

I knew he would never be able to parry. It took me getting my ass handed to me by Monsoon to figure out "ohhh I have to spam the input for parry to block a combo" instead of blaming the game.

Phil did do the tutorial stage. There is footage of him fighting RAY. Phil's problem is that retaining information requires effort.

There's an actual tutorial, apart from fighting RAY, unless I remember horribly wrong (pretty sure I did it back when I played MGRR). It details how various mechanics in the game work.

Pretty much every game has a tutorial they might not tell you everything but i'm guessing this 'PARRY' is a fundamental in the game(not an advanced technique?) I don't play this series.

Same here. It took me until the final boss to get the parrying down. Now all the parts I had difficulty with on my first playthrough I manage to get through easily. I even made it to Monsoon in about 2 hours. Once you know how to parry, this game is pretty easy

@@ninjafrog6966 I mean, I was able to parry some of Monsoon's attacks (mostly the ones during his red phosphorus attack), but I struggled on how to do it during the other parts on that fight. Honestly, it was kind of a stroke of luck and I don't remember exactly how I did it. But one thing for sure: It made the game a pain not knowing how to parry 😅 It truly was a "Learn the mechanics or get your ass whooped" experience and it makes me want to remember every aspects of combat in the next game I pick up. EDIT: I remember how I struggled. I tried to do what the control said and I thought it was press the direction of the incoming attack and THEN press light attack like a "press the first button slightly before you press the 2nd" not knowing you have to press both at the same time.

I don't really care about the "good or bad" argument on quicktime events but in the Monsoon fight, he literally got the first one, and when another quicktime showed up 3 seconds later he acted surprised. I believe his exact words were "they gave me a quicktime out of nowhere" referring to 2nd one. Is it really to much to ask of a gamer to not bitch about something that is objectively predictable and should be expected?

A lotta people also don’t know that first time too, myself included. If you use the right joystick whilst in Blade Mode, you can get to Sundowner’s shields super quick, as long as all the boxes are aligned.

I used to be terrible at this game and whenever I failed at something I laughed it off and then committed to improve. I was laughing a lot on my Very Hard playthrough and silently joking to myself. that helped so much

Damage won't be amazing and your style will be unimpressive and you'll look uncool, but just pressing square square square is viable for most people to defeat bosses and enemies But he is worse than kids mashing square. For whatever reason once he gets an enemy open and he is able to attack and deal damage he, instead, completely drops it and jumps out of it! and thus he needs to open the boss 40 more times than it should be necessary

@@Amalvipls thing is mgr requires you to attack relentlessly and be up in the enemies face for dsp he just survives the boss instead of owning them.

@@memberofchat2825 What I did against Monsoon when I was struggling is I took a break looked up a great guide to parry properly, he didn't hit me again. It only took 5 minutes of my day to improve. Someone like Dsp would never understand the parry machanic at its basic form.
