I know the Sigma levels are a bit unfair in this game, but I am shocked to see him dying so many times on them especially during boss battles (the wall boss is difficult but failing 10+ times is ridiculous). It is like he did not even try to dodge anything and put all the hope on mindlessly spamming. Really did not expect him struggling X5 this much, considering the game has one of the most friendly supply and checkpoint placements, allowing huge rooms of mistakes.

I'm guessing A) He took the Stock Gun Rather than the Plasma Shot in X4 (not too surprising, a lot of folks don't actually know you can get 2 different buster upgrades as one is "Secret" sorta, its actually hidden behind the first one, and I don't mean the Ultimate Armor either). And B), I'm guessing he didn't get the upgraded boots in X4 "What the, I can fly?" you could in X4 as well, with the leg jets. Phil is so cringy it hurts.

Honestly this is my least favorite game in the franchise (or of the first six as I see no reason to consider X7 or X8 to exist), but I like it a lot more seeing how much trouble Phil is having with it. Also love how Phil knows even less about Megaman lore than I do. Even I know that Wily's been involved in the X series since at least X2 when Sigma hints at it when he's beaten (Not to mention the theory that Serges was, in fact, Wily). Also he even did the Zero playthrough in X4 where Wily's involvement is made much more clear especially in the intro.

I love how he bashes the story, even though 1. It's an X game, so story isn't as important and 2. ZERO IS REALLY FLESHED OUT MORE HERE, of where a lot of the actions were grounded in reality, and it was tragic to see Zero pass, which is one of the fan favorites of the franchise.

phil is unfortunatly right at the end. the gameplay is ok but the writing and story was fucking horrid. the story seemed rushed and full of inconstancies and glaring plot holes and the writing was just as bad, sounding like it was written like a bad fan fic. not a way to "end" such a damn good series. its like nintendo deciting to end zelda with the CD-I games. well, maybe not THAT bad but you get the point.

Out of all the X games I would have to say X5 one of on my least liked games. It just felt rushed and had no love put into the game. X6 was a much better game but X4 clearly was the best of the PS1 X games
