TLDR: 1: tempo is very important if you want to climb ( having time advantage to do something in game) 2: the 40/40/20 rule exists and you should always tryhard despite having really good or bad teammates. this way you can always remain at your max without degrading and if you have 4 bad teammates just limit test or try cheesing. if the game is lost anyway at least try learning something from it 3: learn to adapt your runes and items to different situations

4: avoid gambles / teamfights You improve faster if you put yourself in situations where mistakes are clear. 5: use practice tool Not every skill can be properly train in a normal game.

If you really wanna climb, you wanna look into learning to not carry but assist. The 40 auto loss % are based on your teammate losing his matchup that was the win con. If you can identify who is the win con and how to assist that person, you'll unlock the 61-100% winrates.

"Try to find small skirmishes" 6:25. A guide about that would be welcome. Sometimes I think it's obvious but some times I think they never happens (specially on some champs).

Small skirmishes means fighting for little objectives or engaging from out of vision. Little objectives like monster camps or vision are never contested by an entire team (if so just give it up and you get net gain) Engaging isolated targets from out of vision (in jgl or sidelane) gives you time before enemies group up and react to your engage. Thus you will only fight with few people. Last option is contesting an objective (tower) / fighting on the opposite side of the map of enemy team, so spending multiple people cost too much resources. Note that fighting over vision is multi purpose as it both is a small objective when you place vision and it allows you to engage isolated targets from out of vision once vision is set.

This is probably the most informative video I’ve watched. I’ve never left gold 2 before this season and I thought I was getting better but I had seemed to have plateaued at plat 3. Every game was feeling like a coin flip. This is the first video I’ve seen where 90% of it was things I had never considered before. I was only vaguely aware of the fact that in some games I wasn’t as efficient as I could be. Going to implement these tips from now

Not wrong about learning in every game, I realized in one game I kept getting ganked 24/7 (this jungler literally loved our bot lane) so, after that game (we won actually) I realized I need to place wards more, know where the jungler is and know when to push up and when not to

I get what you guys are saying but I do feel that 40/40/20 rule. I mean come on we’ve all been in each of those positions- sometimes you can just tell a game is lost because you got queued with lower skill players, or you’re part of a higher skill team playing a lower skill one and all you have to do is not feed. It’s pretty obvious. Especially in lower population ELOs you can see very obvious matchups of uneven skilled summoners.

I think that is it. And I thought of this myself when I won my first game in plat, things are just the same as in silver but they happen a lot faster so its easy to get lost and the games are the same 25 30 minutes, so its like you're playing 2 games in one, I just don't know how to improove that efficiently, I know that I need to try do things, just as same as when you learn your dmg with a champion, you try to kill, dive, fight etc.

I love the message of this video, climbing is not about winning more games it's about becoming a better player. The reason you're stuck at this rank isn't because of luck, it's because you are playing at the same skill level of your rank. Improving your skill will naturally bring LP and there is no shortcut for climbing.

@@L.Pr09 agreed like i played in diamond matchups and i did good there i do good in bronze bcs im stuck there and my friend told me if you want to win games as hardstuck bronze you will have to play champs that you can hard carry your team because no matter what you do in low elo it just sucks its not 1v9 game its 5v5 and your team isbad so are the enemies but still win because they are fed and thats reality you cant do much if you have just knowlegde. no matter how much wards you put teammates wont look at map. no matter if you split push teammates wont help and pressure other side of map or take objectives

but i think the stats on defensive items can be misleading because the enemy sees the item and plays around it. Its like the qss syndrom: the moment you buy it Skaner stops ulting you so you never use against him. Is the item bad choice because of that? obv no its just in the nature of these items like crown and edge of night etc.

If I never team fight as an adc and just resort to splitting etc. I either get run over by fed assassins or my team giga lose the fight cause they can never fucking back off from an outnumbered fight and they end up spam pinging and getting tilted and they do even more stupid shit.

Gotta say “not teamfighting” is kinda terrible advice. If you’re ahead in gold and items, then force 5v5s to take objectives. If your top lane opponent TPs into a fight and you don’t respond, your team will get wiped and you’ll end up losing baron/dragon/towers/inhibs.

it means you should have pressure elsewhere on the map just before your allies pressure one thing, so you give your allies a window where someone will come to respond to your play and your team should basically be in 4V4 or 4v3

Grouping is so much stronger in low elo. Because of the amount of mistakes a 5v5 even when your team is behind can be won but if you’re behind and the fight is 4v5, the fight is guaranteed lost. It’s important that even if you know the decision is wrong, be wrong together.

One video that would be really neat is how many games/how much time one should at least play in order to see skill improvements and how many games one should play in order to see rank increases. I think its important to set expectations correctly if you are not smurfing and just trying to improve.

As long as you look at the map and don't overcommit, absolutely. I splitpush all the time with Jinx and it's a very good tactic for getting huge leads or forcing your opponents into tough decisions.

You'll stay hardstuck, because you missed the reason why you don't want to teamfight. Your teammates can still throw the fight no matter how good you are. You have more agency when you don't force 5v5s regardless of champion.

@@damour3317 Jumping to extremes and being sarcastic will surely help you get ahead. Even the video said that it's about finding small skirmishes before objectives to get a numbers advantage for the teamfight or splitpushing is the right choice. If you absolutely have to, you can join, but in the long run focusing primarily on teamfights won't get you ahead. Vlad is great at pushing waves. If you've learn nothing else, just go crash a sidelane on their turret and then go teamfight. Make sure to do it before the objective but leave yourself enough time to get to the fight. That way even if you lose the fight, you deny a few waves from your opponent, or force them to catch it, creating a numbers advantage in the teamfight.

Definitely. I would say even more but it's because decision making is harder as a jungler, you have more uses for your tempo + you're the best to track down oppenent's jungler and then organise small skimishes.

the only thing worse than your team inting is you dying with them and getting nothing in the meantime, but if you permanently pressure, and use your time, then you will be ahead so much gold over anyone 50% of your games that you can basically 1v5

guys, let me tell you a story. so i've been hardstuck in plat 4 for about 7 years now, watching literally every guide skill capped released and i tried everything in my power to climb but no chance, nothing worked. i just couldn't get out of plat 4, no matter what i did. The LP i gained just didn't add up, i was stuck in the same place. So i tried something completely new, i just created a new account and checked how far i could climb if i had a fresh mmr. Turns out, my Main account must be locked into place because it didn't even take me 2 whole months to get into Diamond 2 on my new account. Don't let riot fool you, these guides do work but if you account is very old like mine was, your place on the ladder is pretty much locked in place and can hardly be changed no matter what you do.

Though what benefit does rito locking your mmr to low Elo ? None financially in fact wouldn’t it be more beneficial to have you climb relatively easy up till say diamond enticing more players to play and stay in ranked ?

@@brianrankin5876 my guess would be that they try to prevent that too many players reach a high elo in order to keep it more prestige. Diamond/Master elo wouldn't be desireable for players if it were easy to reach. Other than that i can't think of any reason either.

@@brianrankin5876 there's no logical reason to assume this has to be on purpose, all mathematical skill rating systems like elo and MMR have flaws, take lichess as an example, where it uses the same rating system over the board chess does, but because of how much more games people can play over the internet, it creates this dip effect where the rarest rating of player is around 1900-2200, and then any titled chess player has upwards of 2500 online rating, chess players often talk about the "2000 wall"
