Anyone saying it's a clone of Crosshair is forgetting how long it takes for a Clone to age to adulthood. There's no way.

Crosshair clone is flat out of the picture. It would take them 9-10 years to have cloned him (AotC - Lama Su said it takes them "half the time" as a normal human, so they doubled their growth rate, it would take 9 years to get the equivalent of an an 18 year old)

I noticed the toothpick immediately and yesterday I didn’t hear any breakdowns that mentioned that. It would be heartbreaking if she is the last one, but I hope she appears live action in Book of Boba Fett. Introduce her from a rear angle of her face, the toothpick visible, blonde hair with salt and pepper cut I dunno, maybe short. Then the speaks in that distinctive accent…viewers will go crazy, pointing at the screen like that Leonardo DeCaprio meme

Crosshair clone is bullshit, because they would have prerequisites, but they should have same long and hard training + how old they could have been. Further increase in the growth rate of clones would be counterproductive - less time for training.

I would like to cling to optimism as long as possible, but there is optimism, and then there is a river in Egypt. That guy moves like Tech, structures his sentences like Tech, has Tech's tactical sense. I think we should prepare ourselves for it being Tech...ten if its not, what a relief! 😅

The Shadow Clone Operative to me is 100% a Crosshair clone like the cadence in which he speaks is like Crosshair with that slithery voice. Body type is the same, they are both snipers, and Crosshair seems to know him personally. It could also be Tech as well, but my theory also is that it is a random clone that has all of the abilities of the Bad Batch rolled into one.

Cross hair could also be the template for the Deathtroopers. This could make the assassins proto-Deathtroopers.

I've come around to the idea that Clone X is a Crosshair clone. Omega was emulating Crosshair, perhaps embodying his good traits; Clone X would of course embody is bad traits. I think Crosshair's shaking hand (and Dr. Hemlock's) are a reference to Dr. Strangelove's hand, which symbolized part of him yearning for fascism. Crosshair himself is still in limbo, hunted by his past. I believe the tremor will finally be calmed when he has to save Omega on his own, giving over fully to his "light side".

I thought exactly the same thing….crosshair clone! And Omega’s new crossbow looks very much like the end of a LaSat Bowcaster. This was before the destruction of Lasan.

Cody or Cross Hair clone would be better. I love Tech but I think he should remain dead. He died heroically and bringing him back seems like a bad undoing to his character

Interesting idea about him being a Crosshair clone. Could lead to a situation where they gotta guess "who's the Real Crosshair", and they gotta go by the one who's got shaky hands.

One thing I'm impressed with this season is how the animators make Omega both look like a kid and still look older than in the last season. That can't be easy to pull off. But at the same time, it seems like the other members of the team should also have aged noticeably, given their accelerated aging. Or maybe they don't age at the same rate as regs.

I have three options that I like. It doesn’t make sense he’d be a clone of Crosshair or Tech, even with growth acceleration it takes a decade to get them battle ready. First one is nobody, he’s just had excellent training. It could be either Slick of Dogma. Had I been Palpatine during the Clone Wars, I would have seen an opportunity in sticklers for rules and traitors that are sent away from the GAR. Third: it’s Cody after he went AWOL and the Empire found him. Punishment would fit the crime, that’s what I’d think if I were the empire and had a soldier as good as Cody. And it would be emotionally scarring for both us the audience and his closest clone brothers like Rex. Also, it might be me racking (wrecking?) my brain for no reason, but I definitely heard a very faint Kamino theme music when Crosshair was being drowned.

When the first Operative talked as if he thought Crosshair was another operative I initially thought it was to cause mistrust in his enemies, but with this theory it could mean he thought he was actually seeing another operative

i think this might just be Tech, crosshair did mention that they reprogrammed the clone into an assassins, and all we have to show of Tech being dead is his googles, in episode 11, we see how he can decode an encrypted data on Phee's Ship to find out where Pabu is located. and you know who else can decrypt such data? Tech, in season 2, we also see Echo coming to Tech asking him to decrypt data. this is just my theory.

Well, Omega is their sister. Nola Se was keeping her from being tested. Her needed blood variant may be connected to the redirection of the Clones. A New clone variant.

Wait, this Clone assessin is NOT Tech or Cody, It's the shadow clone version of Crosshair, that where crosshair talk about back in episode 5, in later episodes I think it something weird that Wrecker and Hunter are fights each other in season 3 trailer, we need find out in "identity crisis" why Wrecker fights with Hunter.

Commander cody will be who converts wolfe-- it has to be cody. Assassin is crosshair clone. The equipment gives it away. So too do the movements and fighting moves, what caught crosshair off guard was how the clone knew his moves

Watching the episode I thought the operative clone could be Cody. That would be wild. But a Crosshair clone is interesting

The Bad Batch don't each react the same to programming as each other. Crosshair was the only one who got the full trigger of Order 66. So I don't see any reason Tech can't be made into an assassin. He has a smoother motion pattern than other clones, and some particularities of gesture that I thought I recognized. And Crosshair and Tech are nearly identical in stature... slightly lankier than the regs.

Honestly the more I think about it I would not be 100% surprised if it is a Crosshair clone. Why else would they keep him alive if he had already failed their main experiment? And even their secondary experiment? They could have him around to continue to harvest his DNA directly

This is easily my favourite Star Wars show. Hats off to the animators,writers and voice actors. I just find this more compelling than the other stuff and there are so many good interactions. I'll be gutted when it's over.

I'm hoping it's Tech, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Just because the process didn't work with Crosshair doesn't necessarily mean that it wouldn't work with any of the Bad Batch. Crosshair was always a bit of an odd duck anyway. Hopefully we'll find out in the next episode!

Just for the hell of it. What if Crosshair is the clone, hence the shaking and off aim, and the operative is the real Crosshair. Probably not, but it would be a great twist.

I know there are those that believe it isn't possible for the masked shadow assassin to be a clone of a clone they'll made some reasonable arguments. But I'd like to point out that Hemlock is running and experimental unit(super science) to create advancements in cloning to surpass the technology and processes of the Clone War era. So there is a possibility they may have created a cloning processes that can replicate a subject exactly from the sample subject with an improved accelerated growth that's faster than the Clone Wars era. Also the shadow assassins are supposed to be expendable they don't need to live for more than a year or two which is a another way to handle loss ends. Which would also explain why the shadow assassin in questioned it's activation. Also based upon the Mandalorian series the Imp remnant are still working on making a perfect clone of the Emperor. Since the Mando series is only a couple of years before the events of Rise of Skywalker where the Emperor is pretty old if not way older than his body was in Return of the Jedi. We also don't know when Crosshair could've been sampled it could've been when task force 99 was created, when he chose the empire over the squad or when he got to Tantis.

It is either tech, or rampart. The way he speaks he sounds alot like rampart. Since rampart had tons of knowlege about the program he would have been sent to the same prison. I think they want us to think its tech but its actually rampart. It wont be any regular clone because the voice isnt deep enough. Listen to the hlogram when rampart spoke to the first assasin the voice is completely different. I am 100% sure its either rampart or tech.

The Clone would be superior to Crosshair at this point. Whatever Hemlock did to him is slowly crippling him. The Clone would have absolutely no attachments to his brothers or sister(s). He'd be a single minded killer whereas Crosshair is compromised. He's still an elite clone and near the top of the clones. He's just not as he was. The Clone assassin would be the perfect version of Crosshair for combat purposes unless he too is compromised too. Or there's some.other weakness we haven't seen yet.

Crosshair got beat up by Rex, so Cody would do the same. Could Omega have some obi-Wan Kenobi DNA, They could’ve easily got his DNA when he was visiting and fought Jago.

Omega is a clone command unit - like the tactical droids. Better in terms of M count of course, but the Kaminoans are known for PERFECTING their lines of DNA and she's as far as they could get from Boba (Alpha) to the last - Omega.

I’m aware of a zillion comments that Tech should stay dead. I don’t think he’s the shadow clone we’re so curious about, but man I want him back! Who cares about narrative? And what about the goggles, why the big deal? Exactly like Frodo’s mithril shirt, haha we actually almost had his body, but we didn’t. Obvs big evil liars. They kept him alive, so whom ever this operative is, he must be important to the story, is what I was thinking. So I’m with you on that. But this can go either way. A clone of Cross Hair, or Cody. I think it might be Cody, just because of the wow factor and how it can turn the entire story if he kills one of our guys, and someone has to take Cody out; gut wrenching. It’s a slap to the face while a punch gut simultaneously. It would be far more affective story arc than a Cross-Hair clone assassin. I can see Dave Filoni doing that to us; the dagger in our souls. 😭 let’s hope we are all wrong.

I’m still set on it being Tech. Final answer, just leave me on the hill I won’t budge lol The way he hobbled around on his injured leg, the same leg Tech hurt, and the way he clamored up onto the shore after going over the waterfall nearly mirrored how Tech did it in The Crossing. So why did the devs choose to do things so closely if they are just toying with us? This show loves parallels. Look if I’m wrong I’m fully willing to accept it but- I just have that feeling and I’m going with it because I do want him back. I don’t think it would ruin anything.

I thought it was Tech but this makes a lot of sense too because Star Wars put out that clip on their stories with Cody and Crosshair right before these episodes dropped.

So I have a theory. I saw that they had some bounty hunters in the previews. Have you seen the deleted scenes from the clone wars between Cad Bane and Boba Fett? It would make for a pretty good story if Cad Bane was going after Omega and this caused the fallout between Boba and him.

im surprised dogma and slick were not used as assassins although their storylines were complete there was the looming question of what would have happened to them in imperial custody and i doubt there are current or future plans for them

I believe that crosshairs took part in training the regs who would later become Spec ops between seasons 1 and 2 which would explain their sniper skills and how he knows the details about them able to be tracked by unscannable means. The "cleaner clone" knows his moves and that he has a chance to be one of them, but the bad batch traits prevent him as well as the other 99's to be brain washed & programmed. As for the Cmdr. Cody theory, it would just hit harder if we find out Crosshairs snitched on Cody when he started talking like he was going to flake abd he was snatched up before he AWOL'd - Hence crosshairs is not able to forgive himself for things he's done, not against civilians or imperial offices but against his brothers.

How many clones did the empire wipe and place as assassins? These could be more dangerous than inquisitors due to their skills and determination to kill their targets

They kept focusing in on Clone X's legs, and I kept scratching my head why. I was also trying to listen to their accent, and wondering why their voice is so deeply modified. Accent-wise, they sound more British like Tech or Crosshair and I think a Crosshair clone (or reg clones with Crosshair's DNA is very possible!) Also, the first Clone X says "BROTHER," when speaking to Crosshair but it felt much more intentional than a typical "clone brotherhood" reference. I love speculating on these wild theories and can't wait to see who is under that helmet 🕵‍♀

Takes ten years to grow a clone I believe so the time line doesn't work for a lot of the prevailing theories.

There is another possibility. While the clones call the clone X brother we may be seeing a sister. A female clone. The X chromosome. An older faster grown version of Omega or even Doctor Emerie Karr. The build is lighter, the breast plate larger and the moves favor agility over brut strength. I think they are setting the scene for an Amazon or Valkyrie clone line. That would keep KK off Dan and Dave's back until ownership is settled. It provides a long term, but generically weird end for the clones long term. with both male and female clones we have essentially another race in star wars that eventually could on liberation, settle down and have family's. What is Filoni's final destination for the clones? Is there a happy ending for some? We see one in Kenobi, a beggar down on his luck. Though beggars make great spy's.

Can’t see how it could be possible that the assassins are Crosshairs clones. It’s too short a time, he was only on Tantis for months not years & it took 10 years for the Kaminoans accelerated clones to be ready. We haven’t seen anything to suggest that the Empire developed quicker cloning techniques.

There's no possibility of "clone-x" being a clone crosshair because they would've had to accelerate his growth to make him adult age within at least three years. You can't train them that fast, I'm sure that it's another reg because shows and movies always use water as a failsafe to live from a huge fall. I think that if they mind control in some way they put them in a status until they're needed once their reconditioning and training is finished

Would it be even possible to clone Crosshair? I mean in the first season, the Kaminoan were after omega because of her dna. She is an first generation, on altered clone if i remember correctly. Fetts DNA is almost empty and they wanted to use Omega. But if they just can use an other clone for cloning, why go through such difficulty to find Omega? Even calling a bountyhunter to hunt down cloneforce 99? They had enough normal clones. And Crosshair his DNA is even more altered than the normal clones.

My first guess was cody. But after thinking about how accurate he qas a cross hair clone is also possible. Or then i got way unhinged and thought cody conditioned with cross hairs blood or something. Hence why he acts like crosshair. I really hope not tech though. As much as i love his character.
