Which sword did you make this test? Because using something like Trenching Strikes can change everything, no? Especially considering PvE since you can spam any combo you want. In the same note, would using Enchanted and doing H > H > L be better than Trenching Strikes doing H > H > L or even H > H > H? ( H = heavy, L = light).

Trenchant strikes is boss mode for heavy attacks , that with defiance auto block on heavy is OP

@fusion thunder does this apply with trenchant strikes? is HHL better than HHH when you have trenchant strikes on GS?

That's a really good question... I'm not sure. I could do a lil test and figure it out. That being said I think if you have trenchant strikes it's probably best just to heavy attack. But I'm not 100% sure. I'm going to add this to my testing list

Maybe it's worth testing enfeebling skewer and fortifying perforate :)

I don't think this takes into account recovery after the final strike. Looks like you stopped the timer after final hit but assuming it takes more than three hits to kill something, my personal calculations favored LLH.

I usually go LHH because all of those attacks do aoe swing. I'm not a fan of the first H because it's a overhead and it feels slow.

Great video but I might suspect that there need to be more testing on this subject since the chain for light and heavy attacks do more damage on the 3rd swing. Or have this been accounted for when making the video? Light Attack 1 & 2 deal 90% Slashing Weapon Damage Light Attack 3 Deals 130% Slashing Weapon Damage Heavy Attack 1 & 2 Deal 150% Slashing Damage Heavy Attack 3 Deals 170% Slashing Damage

My test included the attack chain of 3 attacks. The chain continues if you mix in a light or a heavy into the chain. That's why I had to test so many combos since there's so many chain combos to be used

okey but what perks was on your greatsword???? Trenchent strikes/crits will benefit heavies even more...

What's your ping? How good light attacks are vs heavy attacks will depend on that.

I had good consistent ping. No one has zero ping. Ping would not effect the results since my frames where capped and I had no ping spikes. Even with high or low ping these results will be relevant.
