just get a new flexi either welded or clamped on. seen others have better results plugging all the holes before filling the dpf always worth another try.

Have you not got any DPF cleaners local you could take it to seen as ite already off the car? As in the places that have the huge machines that use pressurised water to clean it out? Usually no more than 200 to have it done.

Rip off. A recon part is not much more.

It's a Volkswagen so it's worth doing properly.

Hi with the Vauxhall Combo (Fiat) they are prone for injector faults and timing chain on low mileage , my chain (stretched) and injectors gave up on a 62,000 mile engine, beware

With all due respect 1.6 Volkswagen trouble with a capital T
@lewismatthew27478 ай бұрын
Depends on the model year. The latest 1.6 and 2.0 tdi (with combined dpf&cat) are pretty solid. Has a low and high pressure EGR. Low pressure rarely ever has issues as it takes gasses after dpf. High pressure can have some issues if used frequently on short runs and not getting up to temp. But no major issues with them. Providing they're looked after, serviced, and the DPFs are actually allowed to properly regen by the owner 🙄 they're pretty reliable. Having said that the 2.0 even in this newer engine still seems more reliable for some reason. But yes..... this particular 1.6 I would avoid.
