Amen. I’ve never understood why American manufactured homes continue to be so dark, ugly and generally depressing. How hard/expensive can it be to snazzy up the exterior with a bit of strategically placed trim and pop in enough widows you don’t feel like you’re underground when inside.

Kerry commented in the comments on a recent video that a homes he had shown with a flat roof “actually has a slight slope” as if that meant it wasn’t a flat roof. Doh! Flat roofs have a slight slope, it doesn’t negate all the problems they can cause.

@@shaunhall6834 - It’s more than art, its function! Flat roofs can sag, pool water, and if you’re in a snow ❄️ area, the weight WILL cause a flat roof to sag, which will then pool water. I have land where many believed a salesman telling them it’s a strong roof, only to see it collapse after a few years.

@@uteruspower1862 - A slight slant does allow rain water to drain off, that is a SERIOUS plus! In snow areas… you would be correct, but any slant is better than no slant at all. (Why does that sound weird? 🤣)

Agreed flat roofs are trash but all houses need rooftop decks so would you say build it as a separate structure like a gazebo basically with flat roof? Or just put it over the garage so it doesnt damage much when it leaks? Or maybe build a low sloping roof out of metal and then attach a second flat roof on top of that? Would be insane cost 😅 top roof could be made out of maybe metal or tpo or epdm? Seems like this is better than a regular decking material

I like that we're talking about real sized living spaces with some very nice architectural touches. These are among the best I've seen and with prices like the ones quoted, other makes are gonna have to step their game up a notch or two.

My favorite thing about Elevate is that they mostly put the TV hookups in the right spots. So many builders put them above fireplaces or up high in a corner off to the side.

Builders would really like occupants to rely on wifi to connect their TVs. It saves the builder money on low voltage wiring.

Kerry, one thing that would be very helpful would be if you were to either announce at the top of your videos or note in your comments where homes can be shipped to. While it’s nice to see the layouts from various manufacturers, as someone in the States, I can’t purchase from New Zealand; nor would I want to even if they allowed it bc the time delay and delivery costs would be insane. (You, however, may prefer to keep that info close to your vest, like the pricing, so as to encourage folks to watch your vids all the way through to the end…but, y’know, it’d be nice if I knew at the start whether watching the vid might be of any service to lil’ ol’ me here in Sunny SoCal.) Please send my greetings to the terrarium.

Their smallest home is not small at all IMO. And their mid sized home is straight up gorgeous and fairly priced for its size. 😍 If they can figure out delivery to North America without it getting too expensive, they will surely get a ton of business from the USA. 🇺🇸 Great job following up on this company Kerry. And I just gotta say, with all of your research at this point, I can’t wait for the day when you team up with an off site company and just say with confidence, backed by your KZfaq channel of a million subscribers, “I think I know what people want.” They thus pay you TONS of money as a consultant and then we get to buy the Kerry Tarnow signature series, prefabricated home. Perfect design, and I love the color schemes, the dark with the wood and the gray interior. Also, the floor plan seems to be exactly what I need for my lot. Trying to get some of these modulars to an off grid property is quite challenging. I am starting to find out that I will need to build whatever I want from scratch.. Or something like a container home. Elevate homes if you're listening. I would take one for a show home in Phoenix, Arizona. It would be a great sales pitch you could helicopter the building to my property. Great job finding this one, Kerry Looking forward to your on-site video..

They’re very attractive and I particularly like the interior. I would go with the peak roof and of course the covered porch. But the price is scary. As I know I can have a home for that price easily in the U.S. by a local builder, this would not proof economical. And I expect the availability and shipping of commodities is part of the reason. It would be interesting to see how their model replicated with manufacturing hubs elsewhere in the world. Terrific presentation, Kerry. Cheers!

These are my favorite homes by far since I started watching your channel perhaps a year or so ago! Kerry, the 150 looks amazing. Is there a company in the US that has a similar aesthetic? The size is great too as we're a family of 4...$350k for that is unreal. Absolutely gorgeous. Finally a full size house that can accommodate all my crap, and looks good too. Would love to know the energy efficiency of it. Also, I know space is a premium on most of these houses but why don’t they ever have a small entrance area where you can hang your coat and take off your boots? We get mucky here in the UK. Ps. Thanks for moving the terrarium. Pss. Think you need a trip to NZ.

You would recommend a 2-12 for NZ? Interesting. What about for Florida? And Northern CA? Just making a point here about needless comments... Maybe a 2-12 pitch roof is perfect for you because of where you live but "recommending" it in a KZfaq comment isn't helpful to anyone.
