My favorite (now deleted) post from that subreddit is when someone legitimately was looking for help with a Riddler trophy, and everyone thought he was shitposting until they realized that was his first post in that subreddit, and there was a brief moment of self-reflection. One of my favorite reply chains is "I think this guy’s legit, he has no previous activity in this sub." > "What did this sub done to us?" > "We became mini Jonkers my guy....society man...."

You know for a while, there was a small time period where the arkham subreddit went "sane" to mourn Harley Quinn's VA's death. But then after the period ended, the brainrot resumed like nothing happened. Truly one of the reddits of all time

They would probably be less insane if the game had a Steam Workshop and it was easier to install custom content. Yeah, it was like that for a long time, but the release of Suicide Squad really tipped that sub over the edge. The r/devilmaycry subreddit is showing very early signs of r/BatmanArkham disease. If Capcom doesn't release a new Devil May Cry game in the next five years, these two subs will resemble each other in 2030. It doesn't help that that Devil May Cry gacha game released recently, and it's universally agreed upon to be terrible. This is the sort of thing subreddits catch when they've been deprived of a decent installment to their respective franchise for years.

Graphically we are stuck still in 2015, we did not advance past that as much. I always compare Arkham Knight graphics to any modern game and 95% of the time games are worse. Congrats to some games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk ... But yea.

Good art direction never ages. The textures in Arkham Knight do look noticeably dated compared to modern games if you zoom up close, but that doesn’t change how awesome the atmosphere and effects are at capturing the Batman aesthetic.

The thing is tho most games nowadays are using ray tracing in games with dynamic day-night cycles. Arkham Knight takes place entirely at night and is capable of baked lighting. Ray tracing will probably never catch up to custom baked lighting because it strains your GPU more and just overall doesn't please the eyes as much

Just so you know, when you showed "that's Melven, brother of the joker" comment, I was swallowing a huge gulp of water and I started to lauch. I started choking while laughing and I started to see stars and actually my vision got blurry. That Channel Awesome meme almost took me out in 2024, like it took out many in 2007.

@@NetBattler so far I haven’t had issues with the localization, it’s pretty close to my memory of the original. I’ve heard operation babe hunt got cut, which is a shame, wish it was a 1 to 1 remake. But wouldn’t say it’s ruined personally.
