We are up with the next video of our experiment series where we decoded popular experiment videos, correct them if there is a wrong explanation and make interesting JEE-level questions from it.
In this video, we have picked a very popular video whose explanation is completely opposite to the law of Physics yet it gained 44 Million views and over 3 Million likes.
In the video a bottle filled with water was taken and two holes were created in it. When the man was holding the bottle, water was coming out of the holes.
The man drops the bottle and the water stops coming out of the holes.
He says that according to Einstein, this is because the bottle is not experiencing gravity during wall.
This explanation is completely wrong and in this video, NMS sir has explained it very fundamentally instead of taking complex examples and problem forming.

I am a simple physics teacher Sir you are 100 % true.. Many youtubers are teaching wrong physics concepts. Many times my students debate with me after watching youtubers fake concept. Some non science background youtubers make videos,Concept related to theory of relativity, inertia, SHM, Gravity etc.

The correct statement is "A freely falling body doesn't feel gravity." The guy didn't do the experiment on his own. This exact experiment was done by the popular American physicist Brian Greene in an interview and he was the one who quoted Einstien here but used "feel". The exact statements and the exact experiment is copied from Dr Brian Greene but he couldn't copy the exact words. Right..Exactly what i also commented..according to Einstein general theory of relativity gravity is not a force but the geometry of space time.. The free falling object simply follow the curved space time path created by earth due to its mass..

"A freely falling body doesn't feel gravity." Sorry... But this is not a correct statement. From the viewpoint of Newtonian Physics, this problem is already present in Class 11 physics in the LIFT-Human Problem. This incident can be explained easily using that concept. However, without gravity, free fall never happens as per Newtonian Physics. The same can be explained by space-time curvature, but then you have to know non-Euclidean geometry which is not everyone's cup of tea..

The problem here is two different context of gravity. Newtonian physics considers gravity as a force and a freely falling object as non inertial frame of reference but Einstein theory says that gravity is not a force..so a freely falling object doesn't feel any force but follows the geodesic and hence is a inertial frame of reference.

A free falling object doesnt feel gravity in his reference frame. Because in its reference frame everything is traveling at same speed in same direction. Therefore it seem like gravity isnt acting on anything.

the actual reason of water coming out of the bottle is the pressure difference between the inside and outpoint of the hole and when it was released then the pressure differnce becomes zero so wATER DOES not comes out during fall .. sir if i am wrong please correct me

Actually acceleration causes warping of spacetime. This is all about the principle of equivalence which says that in any arbitraty gravitational field we can select a locally inertial coordinate system such that the laws of physics would be the same as in coordinate systems without the influence of any gravitational field. Which means the observer won't be able to distinguish whether he is in a gravitational field or in a spacetime without gravity. All calculations would yield the same result. A freely falling person doesn't feel his own weight. This could be explained by the good old elevator thought experiment. Suppose we are inside an elevator(inertial coordinate system) and the elevator is falling freely under gravity then we would feel as if we are in space because everything else is falling including the floor. There is no upward force exerted by the ground so as to feel the weight. So if we are uninformed whether we are in a gravitational field or not, we won't be able to tell them apart. Questions will be appreciated.

Awesome video sir, especially what you said about statistics at the end! And I think I might know what the kid who talked to you may have tried to say. It was probably about how all objects experience the same amount of acceleration due to gravity. And any body which is under freefall with respect to a body which is also under freefall would look like it experiences no gravity, because of how they experience the same acceleration.

Sir I have a question which is if magnetic force doesn't work then how one magnetic attract each other. The kid who asked you this wasn't wrong. It is indeed the fact that a person falling freely doesn't feel gravity. In the theory of general relativity, the equivalence principle is the equivalence of gravitational and inertial mass, and Albert Einstein’s observation is that the gravitational “force” is experienced locally while standing on a massive body (such as the Earth) is the same as the pseudo-force experienced by an observer in a non-inertial (accelerated) frame of reference. So the person falling freely is equivalent to the person sitting on an accelerated frame of reference like for example the International Space Station, there are tons of videos from inside ISS and all can see that the gravity is missing.

the experiment demonstrating the origin of gravity due to the curvature of fabric.. but due the curvature the gravity is pulling the object towards the lowest point (energy minima) ... but in actual simplest way general relativity says that curvature of spacetime is defined by mass and we follow the spacetime, as we drive on road if the road is curved we curve, exactly like that when the spacetime is curved due to mass the light following the spacetime bends

That's kinda true. That thing is taken from a vdo of professor Brian Greene at world science festival. Though that was colloquial language. Also, students there, don't go into these things now. First study your course, otherwise you will neither understand your syllabus nor Einstein and will surly develop all sorts of wrong concepts.

Basically Einstein's special relativity is based of frame of references what the kid prolly wanted to say is a body free falling under influence of gravitation is no different from a body at rest(to it's immediate frame of reference)(as if no force is acting on it cause gravity according to general relativity isn't a force but the motion of bodies through curved geodesic space time). The kid just misinterpreted some video on gen relativity. Btw what this dude explained is correct but he failed to see the bigger picture that Einstein proposed which led to the revelation that gravity isn't really a force(acc to gen relativity our best theory of gravity yet)

Einstein gave two theories first was special relativity according to which nothing can be faster than light if we go near and near to speed of light in a spaceship time will slowdown for us but still we will feel time is going with a normal rate but for observer outside of ship will not slowdown it will go with normal rate this is known as time dilation
