took that fighter jet 20 seconds from floor to clouds unreal how humans can create such technology, imagine if the whole world come together what we could create and achieve as one.
@sailorman86683 жыл бұрын
Clouds can be much lower than what's shown in this footage, so it could have taken only 5 seconds (for example) 'from floor to clouds', so your comment is more than a little bit irrelevant.
@iain88373 жыл бұрын
30 years ago the space shuttle with an all up weight of 2000 tones accelerated vertical as fast as a Chiron and was going Mach 1 but the height of these clouds. The computer was less powerful than an iPhone. Technology has slowed down since then.

Passenger airlines can go above the clouds much quicker than 5 mins but the passengers would feel very sick. It happened to my old lady in 1994 whilst flying from Netherlands (pilot had to go above the clouds asap due to a lightning storm)...😖😖😖

Second fastest climb for a fighter jet 32 m/s slower than the Raptor. United States Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper, then the only person to have flown both the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Raptor, talked to Air Force Print News about these two aircraft. He said, "The Eurofighter is both agile and sophisticated, but is still difficult to compare to the F/A-22 Raptor. They are different kinds of airplanes to start with; it's like asking us to compare a NASCAR car with a Formula One car. They are both exciting in different ways, but they are designed for different levels of performance. ... The Eurofighter is certainly, as far as smoothness of controls and the ability to pull (and sustain high G forces), very impressive. That is what it was designed to do, especially the version I flew, with the avionics, the color moving map displays, etc.-all absolutely top notch. The maneuverability of the airplane in close-in combat was also very impressive. The F/A-22 performs in much the same way as the Eurofighter. But it has additional capabilities that allow it to perform the [U.S.] Air Force's unique missions.

@AKATenn5 жыл бұрын
want less drag on takeoff, more lift once the wheels are off the ground, less time wasting fuel in takeoff mode...
@HMHacki2 жыл бұрын
If you still want to know: The slats, like all control surfaces on Typhoon, are controlled by the fly by wire system. These jets do not have landing flap and slat control like normal aircraft. The pilot only tells the aircraft where he wants it to go the computer figures out how and moves the controls. The slats are not needed during the takeoff roll, as they are only there to keep airflow on top of the wing at high angles of attack. On the ground that angle is small or nonexistent, thus no slats. As soon as the pilot commands up and the jet gets some angle the slats move where they are needed. So these pilots do not configure the jet for takeoff like airline pilots for example. The computer does all that only when it is needed not before. The pilot just pushes the power levers forward, releases the brake and, when he sees rotation speed, pulls on the stick. Fly by wire does the flying part freeing the pilot up to fight.
