Well you can continue a drift in the air, so if the controls allow you to change air roll from x theoretically you continue to drift the entire way through an air roll. Resulting in the (MSR) make-shift speed roll

There is one slight thing that is annoying me, its the ranking up system, you get a lot of points when your first, but since im in Diamond 1 (as we speak), i believe the ranking system is based of seconds, for bronze you get 30% because you like 6 seconds ahead, but now you get 5% because you were millisecond's away from someone.

@@RenPlayzBR this and i think it doubles the amount. 1% in champ is 2% in elite which is 4% in diamond. at least it feels like it . Note: no, im not champ, but i got unreal multiple times in no build and build mode

@@eusebioproxd2675 I just read the ingame-info, says after diamond you need top 5 to go up/ break even so i think at that point 5th is 1% 4th is 2% and so on.

I'm glad more people are getting ranked lately. D3 queue times suck so I recommend playing around 6:30pm/7pm est. Hope they add some endurance races like how Gran Turismo 4 had with high lap count. Most annoying thing: bumping especially when the pack is so close together. Or landing fine but still dying somehow. Lobbies usually 8/8 players instead of a full 12/12.

I dont rly like the look of the hazards tbh. The whole graphics of the game arn't bad, but the hazards just look like from a game from 10 years ago. I cant think of a way to make these type of barriers look better, but they are kinda ugly

I'm currently in Diamond 1 however people are not that good still, some aren't even aware of some shortcuts (like the one in Olympus after the vertical turn where you take off and turbo boost in the air), thanks to your shortcut video I'm consistently in the top 3 every race (unless something bad happens).

if you grind hard enough and learn the maps its easy from there. I did gold 2 to plat 2 in 8 hours straight of playing.

something that is really unsatisfying is how you cant really drift when a lot of people are next to you like being in the 9-4 place sucks way worse than being 11-12 cuz atleast you can actualy drift

Fun video! I don't think the first three pads on festive falls are bait, if you are able to drift through them all you get a lot of speed, if you watch speedruns on that map they always go that path. In my opinion the waterfall can be useful if you are on the last lap and with 3 or almost 3 boosts, you can use 2 boost through there and finish the race with the third. Looking forward to play on your maps in rocket league.

Queue times are really what make me not play the game anymore after a week. Getting a match after more than 30min sometimes is just insane. Managed to get Elite, but I certainly won't continue the grind until I hear the queue times are getting better.

I found that on "rocket racing", if you join smaller drifts whilst gettingd the pads, you can easily reach 1,100kmh. But youbhave to release the drift and keep on stacking the speed boosts you get.

Something they need to change is the position that you start in, because it is dependent on your internet speed, so of course I always start literally last, which is very unfair. Also at Diamond 2 I feel like I'm only gaining 2-3% every game even if I get first. Which is terrible, I don't want to play 50 races to rank up.

when you air roll down at 1:40, make sure your wheels are what hits the ground first otherwise all of your speed will be murdered

the most annoying part of it is, (idk if its just with octane or what) but getting barely tapped an it spins you making you face the wrong direction.. happens every game even on straight ways

For some reason I always start last, it's probably related with the speed you join the game but that's a really shitty way to decide who starts in first place and who start in last place

I think the worst part about the game is the bumping, and unfairness on starting positions based on who loads faster. Which ties into bumping. I start last every race and 50% of the games if I get ahead the rest of the game is basically how your second game in the video goes, but the other half is I get screwed over by other cars and it’s impossible to get through

One thing that really annoys me with this game is how the controls driving upside down work. I wish there was a setting where you can make it work like it does in rocket league. It's not really an issue when you're just driving on a ceiling, but when you're in like a pipe or something and going up the wall, at some point your left and right just change directions. I'm sure I'll just get used to it, but it'd be nice if it was an option anyways

You should increase boost by drifting and maybe adding wavedash to the game, just to have another way to gain more boost, I don't like how you lose speed when drifting.

Instead of outright demos, they should do what other, older arcade racers (like the Burnout series) would do, where you have a 'health meter' that takes gradual chip damage from hard hits. You should see some sort of cosmetic damage on your car, and after a certain number of hits you get demolished for a sec.

You can use the drift button multiple times to get a sharper turn. If you look at the side of his car, the flames light up each time he inputs the drift

I think the ranked system is almost perfect honestly. In D2 matches are fast making getting low percentages feel fair as it scales to the amount of matches you play.

i think the lava tunnels should be randomly generated each time with the lava in different spots so that players cant memorize where the obstacles are

@@foxxo8349 you're probably not aware of this since you've probably touched no games other than rocket league, but rng can be used to the player's advantage, and it makes the skill ceiling much higher. Also, mario kart has tracks with random sections and it works for them sooo :/

@@Kookie_TV @Kookie_TV Ask ANY pro scene in any competitive game and they'd rather have something difficult to master rather than something luck based. Mario kart's RNG works because the entire game is filled with RNG, it's fun because it's chaotic. But in typical or semi-typical racing games RNG isn't a good idea if you wanna higher the skill ceiling.

@@foxxo8349 but rocket racing is within fortnite, which is a casual-ish shooter. It's basically the mario kart of shooter games. All of the main experiences in fortnite are like that, for example festival is much less complicated than other rhythm games, and lego fortnite is very casual compared to the game it copied (tears of the kingdom) I think it would be fitting for rocket racing to be casual, because rocket league is already such a competitively toxic community, we dont need another

@@foxxo8349 also, rocket racing was clearly a flop to keep the RL community busy for a while, they don't want to feed this game much updates, and making the game genuinely harder without RNG is very difficult in a racing game
