Chorkor, some of the professors won't reply in the first place. I don't blame them though because the whole profession is a busy one. But I have never gotten the opportunity to be asked by any of them to write a research proposal. I have a published paper though. Some professors replied by saying they do not need students at the time I sent them the email. But one professor just got angry because I called her an Emeritus professor (the truth is I had copied and pasted an email sent to an Emeritus professor and in the cause of editing the email it escaped me to remove the Emeritus) and hence replied that she is just 38 years so she can't be an Emeritus and the fact that I am calling her Emeritus means I am not ready to work with her (She is a professor but not Emeritus yet). Her research area is directly in line with mine, in fact, my published paper was in the same area as hers. I wrote an apology email to her but she didn't bother to reply. I am cool though not happy about that issue. I like what you are doing but please let us also know that individual differences on the side of some professors may set aside whatever good writing skills or what research traits a prospective student has. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
