As a former collegiate/professional football player myself I can easily tell you what is going on with Wilson inside of the hash marks. He turned himself into a *One Dimensional* quarterback who is basically predictable in his counter snaps and audibles. He loves running naked bootlegs, which exposes him in single coverage. And he runs the “65 Package” way too much in Denver. As a former defensive player, all you have to do is box the inside and force him to react quickly. Stack the box and single coverage zone would eliminate majority of Wilson skill set. But it’s easy for Wilson to get out of this mess, and that’s training. He needs to watch film and train on his weaknesses. People blame Pet Carroll for the Super Bowl disaster, but it was actually Wilson who called the audible disaster because if you look closely at Lynch position he was clearly in run down hill mode with his shoulders squared up because if he was prepared for a play action his legs would have been spread apart so he could block the incoming rush. Maybe that’s why Wilson doesn’t want to talk with Lynch anymore because Lynch cursed him out in the locker room because that’s embarrassing. Wilson wanted to be the hero of the game but instead he got a egg smeared in his face lol 😂 Sean Payton is a master of disguising smaller quarterbacks, and that’s why Wilson wants to play for him. But Wilson has to leave his ego behind when he parks his car at the team headquarters, once he exits his car his mind should be focused on getting better nothing else. I don’t agree with Wilson being washed up, but he’s his own worst enemy and only time will tell if he’s ready to be elite. Because right now he’s not elite. And he needs to stop with the *Black Jersey* nonsense at practice because he’s known for wearing his BLACK jersey which means he’s a *Non-Contact* player because that instills respect and confidence in his teammates. Because wearing the black jersey shows that he doesn’t trust his teammates and thinks they’re out to injure him. Great job bestie, you deserve all of the love you receive RRG 👍🏾

I live an hour outside of Seattle. Russell Wilson from a PR standpoint was a favorite here in Washington State for a long time. I worked with a woman that told me that her mother was so moved by his philanthropy that when the mother mentioned his name, she would cry. I was like🤔. Russ is and always will be one of my favorite Seahawks of all time. He's done so much for the community here in Seattle , for the children w/cancer. His wife is amazing too. She gives and gives. They both give and give. He was legit hurt last year and no one EVER mentions that. He will kick butt this year. Of course I am a Seahawks fan, so I don't have a lot of passion for the Broncos win or loss record. Still, I hope he does well. Really well like he did in Seattle. Then all my signed RW merch may come back with some value! 😃 I haven't see a lot of his tweets this year. He must of cut down a lot on that. Thats good.

I think one of the things that irritates people about Russ is his inability to "read the room". Maybe he's a bit Asbergers. He can't always find the right place to draw the line between "Cool or interesting", and "gag me". Examples: the video from bed talking about his contract, the "Mr. Unlimited" video, and the Subway ad. In Seattle, to many of us, it felt like some self-serving duplicity. Sure, he did great things on the field, and in the community. But at the same time, he was trying to pull strings behind the scenes and was angling for an equal voice at the owner/manager table. He was often carping about "needing more tools" for his offense, and "tired of getting hit too much". At one point, he was advocating for bringing Antonio Brown in for a possible signing. (This was well after it became clear that Antonio would be a major distraction in the locker room.) For all the beefing about getting hit too much though, we never heard him encouraging the team to spend draft picks on the OL. Feels like he got way too obsessed with his mighty "legacy", while trying to sell the fanbase that he was "all in" for the team. Felt like perhaps he'd figured out that sacks get blamed on the OL (no matter how long he holds the ball) and do not reflect negatively on him, but the glory of a TD pass was all his. I can't help but wonder if he was pushing hard for more weapons when Seattle took Dee Eskridge, who at best would have been WR # 3 behind DK and Tyler Lockett, while passing up the chance to draft Creed Humphry, who was still on the board. This at a time where Center was desperately in need of a solid long-term solution. Forcing his way out the way he did, did not endear him to the fanbase either. I found it curious that THIS year, he came in "lean and mean". Why didn't "Mr. Ultimate off-field prepper" come in lean and mean LAST year? Feels like he got cocky ("I can just step into this much better team and we can go places"), or complacent. He went into Denver with his own office, parking space, and posse of coaches and trainers, who had free access to the Bronco facility. Russ will likely do fine if he plays within his limits and focuses on what he actually does do well, instead trying to create personal glory for his mighty legacy. He will turn 35 in November too.

Great job. And, we'll add one more thing.. That INT in the Super Bowl... Seattle blew it ... The ball should have gone to Marshawn Lynch. Had they done so, Seattle would have been two-time champions. Instead, Pete Carroll wanted Russ to be the hero because the organization thought that was a better look than having Marshawn score the game winner. Needless to say, we all know how that worked out... And, we all know how The Legion of Boom and his teammates felt about it..
