I played this as a little kid, and the entire carnival area was so surreal. The flying carpet level, clown mouth, and mummy level all have this super eerie ambient sound with no music. The flying carpet level with the floating island and the cloud walls were always really strange to me.

I remember getting this for the Gamecube and running around for a few hours in that theme park hub before I eventually stumbled onto the carpet ride level where I realized I wasn't having fun at all. This game made me not want to buy the other Jimmy Neutron games, because it was one of the worst I had played at the time. I actually still have this game even though I haven't played it in 20 years.

In all seriousness, I remember watching Jimmy Neutron when I was like 7 or 8, and I'd always watch the movie I had on VHS but my mom didn't like it so every time I would try to watch it she would say, "If you watch it I'll put on spirited away instead" ( AKA, the thing that scared the living HELL out of me).

The reason the game was poorly made was becuase the devs big sky interactive (I think that's the name) was poorly mistreated and it led the game to be awful and thr fact they defunct after they made 2 games this one and spongebob the revenge of the flying Dutchman, so we gotta pay respects for big sky interactive

Any time someone talks about Jimbles Notronbo and all things attached to it, it makes my day. That movie was my entire childhood, the TV show was often on, and this EXACT game on the GameCube was a popular pastime of mine. I specifically recall having fights with my younger brother about how he kept taking my copy and I couldn’t play it. Then I finally got it and never got past the first couple levels, I kept getting bored, lol

This was the first game I was ever excited to get from seeing ads of it and that platforming egyptian-style level had such a weird and haunting atmosphere (at the time, at least) that it has invaded my dreams over the years. The only other example I have of something like that is the tutorial section of Kingdom Hearts in Sora's dream, all the winding stained-glass pathways in darkness. Edit: Oh god! The clown mouth too! And the sound design...unique but terrifying.
