Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzfaq.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

We are in ft pierce. We just bought a 2 person kayak and have had it out a few times. Caught some but nothing to write home about. We have learned so much from you and I want to thank you. Keep going! I wish you might give a little more info as to where you are in the river..cause we wanna poach..lol.

Hi Rich, I noticed at 7:02 and at 8:48, you throw the mullet more toward the seawall than at the mangrove. Is there a reason for this? I'm in Indiana living vicariously through your videos, and when I do get down to FL to fish, I need to maximize my time. Your videos are awesome and educational when it comes to inshore fishing. Thanks.

Hey Scott, I just know the sea wall very well and it seems that it’s just a little deeper along the wall and more fish sit there to ambush their prey. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching! I hope you can get out and catch some nice Snook and Jacks soon!

Just curious. Have you ever accidently "rolled" your kayak and found yourself needing to climb back in over deep water? Is all your gear tied down? (Been there - done that, LOL)
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV Жыл бұрын
Accidentally I have when landing in the ocean surf but in that scenario I tie everything down or put inside the kayak. I’ve intentionally flipped my kayak in deep water on a pond. It’s really tough to flip this kayak in calm water. I did that to practice flipping the kayak back over while swimming and climbing back in. I did that so just incase I ever flipped on the ocean I would have an idea of what to do.
@D2uned
@D2uned Жыл бұрын
@@FishAholicTV I have an Old Town Salty PDL which is, I am sad to say, easier to flip than I would have thought. I realize the Hobie is much more stable. After getting flipped downstream of a dam where they started generating and the current came on me fast, I learned to tie down ALL my gear, LOL. Lost a brand new spinning rod and reel that time. I then practiced flipping it in a swimming pool and getting back in. All "noobie" kayakers need to know that it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when they will flip over into the water. Might as well set their mind to that and hopefully be prepared. That is also why I don't go out in real cold water where you could get hypothermia and have cardiac arrest. That has happened to people in central Texas in the winter. I'll stay home until March, or just go in "skinny" water.
