That "devious" girl is actually the fandom favourite among all the girls that appears in the show. Even some people who don´t know anything about this anime recognize her from somewhere when they see the openings.

A rom-com harem anime where each arc focuses on one girl. Despite an initial premise that couldn't be more generic if you tried, and a lot of shameless fanservice, this later turns into a heavily plot-driven and lore deep show. Though, it gets its fame almost entirely from Kurumi Tokisaki 's character. She's more popular than the show itself (eg, simply her appearing in an episode gets DAL trending on Twitter, and she wins the seasonal waifu contest by a landslide)

I am actually currently binging Date A Live so I can watch V, which is airing now. I usually really dislike overly comical, fanservicey animes, but I can never regret LOVING Date A Live. It's powerful, fun, gorgeous, deep, and just a good time. Plus, my being polyamourous makes this anime something special. I HIGHLY recommend watching this show. It's goofy af, but it eventually shows a mega dark, dramatic, woeful side, and it is spectacular.

I recently saw all the episodes so far and I have to say that Date a Live is great. The anime is now my absolute favorite and I can only recommend it to everyone. The story contains so many different plots and you can see how it gets more serious and sad from season to season, which often touched me a lot. I think you will like the anime too!

I agree that you should check out Golden Kamay. It's very underrated in the West, but very popular in Japan. I like to see more reactions and recognition of this series myself.

If anyone new then follow my advice. The first 2 season is mostly about comedy. But the story start to uncover from s3 onward. It is only s4 when the main attraction start. S5 is the most emotional.

Date a Live is a pretty good anime and the op4 is also my favourite. Try 1.The devil is a part timer 3 openings 3 endings. 2. Tonnikaku Kawai 3 openings 3 endings

This show starts out pretty simple and basic, but you’ll notice, as you continue to watch, that it’s lighthearted, harem, and rom com nature are only second to it’s ridiculously engaging plot. The show goes through some real personal issues filled with a ton of characters who have been scarred, and wronged. When adding this character work with a plot that only gets better and more intriguing, you’ll end up finding yourself loving the show, despite some annoying fan service. Although I wouldn’t say the fan service is on a fairy tail, or highschool dxd level thankfully.

@@KingMufasa_8 respect ur opinion but can't agree with. For me kurumi was best and she deceived both mio and Issac by travelling in future to help shido from mio and remind him that he can use . And in new timeline after shido using she tricked Issac and retrieved Beelzebub from him. and after mio kiss shido she realises that shido has used angry mio again kills kurumi but this time knowing her death she transferred her saphira crystal to one of her trusted clones and behind the sceans she used her clone having saphira to revive her using and join the war. After all the incidents she also managed to retrieve her 3 bullets back from beast after she became human. The parallel universe kurumi managed to survive beast attack and she agrees to help tohka beast to bring others back who dhe killed in her universe.

Seasons 1-2 is more of the generic harem romcom series. Season 3 is when the plot starts to reveal a bit of what is actually going on in the series. Seasons 4-5 is when things get very interesting with its plot.
