Sometimes products don't work for everyone. I tested a new foundation and it DID NOT work for me... In today's foundation testing FAIL, things get real painful... real fast. I'm bringing you my honest thoughts on the luxury foundation.

Oh my gosh!! What the heck!! Stupid Dior foundation! I wonder if the fragrance in the foundation makes a difference to how your skin reacted? I had no issue with breakouts after using this, but I'm not the best person to ask on this. Man I'm sorry you had that reaction! ❤️❤️❤️

People use that kind of expressions all the time and that doesn't mean that they don't like the product- just that they are "angry" at it cos it ruined someone's face... I don't understand how you don't get it...but never mind. You're entitled to your opinion- I'm just trying to explain where it came from. 🙂

Have you ever tried Becca Ultimate Coverage Creme foundation, it is very high coverage and you just need a little, and their shade range is fantastic, also their backlight primer is good.

I have really bad skin and it's really bringing me down. I don't leave my room anymore, I don't want people to be disgusted or have to look at my face . I'm thinking about quitting my job, I know people stare at my acne and it probably puts them off their food. It's my 21st birthday tomorrow and I know I'll spend it in my room isolated ☹️

Diane Wetford why you have to isolated yourself? i have acne scar all over my face, you know.. worse that you could imagine. my dermatologist told me that my skin cannot be 'repair' 100%, and they said it just can be repaired around 75%.. so, i have to life with this in my entire life, haha. and i dont think i am ugly. i want people look at me not because my appereance. i am what i am. just be you... actually if people start to judging you, tell them, i dont care what you think, you dont give me just a penny for my life. thats it. be smart, and make them go silent. thats my motto ☺

It's very likely that you're allergic to the BISMUTH OXYXHLORIDE in it. Other factors that could've played a large role is the high alcohol and fragrance/citronella content. Coconut oil and its derivatives can trigger break outs like the one you are having right now and it wouldn't surprise me if that was the chief issue here because SODIUM MYRISTOYL GLUTAMATE is included on the ingredients list which is derived from coconut. Another issue could be the addition of algae. Yes, this has an ingredient in it called 'ALGIN' which is brown algae. Some people's skin can have a sensitised reaction to different forms of algae. Hope this helps:)x

Kathleen Cuellar , Thank you, I always like to go in depth to make sure that people DO see my credibility so that they learn from what I have to say because I truly like to help people and share knowledge from my area of expertise. I'm sorry to see that you mistook my educated advice as dishonesty. So, since you almost don't believe me, a google search of any of the ingredients I discussed will show you that they have been researched and put through rigorous studies and tests to find that they do have the negative effects I explained previously. If you are still in any disbelief with the advice I previously gave you can educate yourself about the ingredients I talked about using a simple and quick google search by looking at reliable sources like I do when I'm sceptical :)

O.J.H. bismuth oxychloride in bare minerals ruined my life. It's been a decade since. i never had acne when i was a teenager. i'm 31 now and dealing uneven skin tone, cystic ane, scaring, dry combination skin you name it. before i had a spotless normal skin. do your research people. :(

Yes her skin will heal so quickly, if someone do this use the real plant rather than the gels you buy at pharmacy for 100x better results.

OMG i had the exact same results!! I was breaking out all over my face, really bad and much more than usual. I told my friends about it and they kinda laughed it away, saying that wasn't possible with dior so i'm sooo happy you experienced the same thing (obv not that you're breaking out cuz that part sucks) but honestly THANK YOU xxxx

It's really annoying me people going "Oh, maybe it wasn't the foundation maybe it was [this] or [that]" - at the end of the day guys Em knows her skin better than some random commenters do hahah, ANYWAY! I'm sorry to see you had such a bad reaction hun, that sucks as it's definitely not a cheap foundation! Such a shame as the finished product looked lovely on you initially, but you live and you learn I guess. Can't wait for the next video. xxx

I had not heard of her before until this video popped into my recommended feed, so I am not familiar with what her skin really looked like leading into this video. As I can barely see a difference between the acne in the pink shirt vs the white shirt, I can see why people may be saying it is not necessarily the foundation. Many are probably saying it to be helpful, so she does not waste an expensive product. That said, I am like her. I only try one new product at a time. If I get a breakout, I tend to blame the product I am testing. It is the most likely culprit. I had a similar experience with a Cover Fx BB cream a lot of people love, but my acne was accompanied by an intense rash.

When Dior gave out gurus their promotional package back in March and a lot of their gurus did their "All Dior" GRWM/Tutorial, after that not one guru used any of the Dior product after that.. Not in their monthly favorites, not in any future tutorials, grwm, etc. It was originally marketed for old rich ladies who pay for "brand names" and are currently trying to push their brand on younger middle class women. You're paying for their name... nothing in their ingredients that's better/healthier/anti aging/etc. than other high end foundations.

Bee Be Not necessarily this foundation... yes it's expensive but honestly it's so worth it. I used to use the too faced born this way foundation ever day then I switched to the dior one last January and have been using it religiously ever since.

I'm not old or rich, and I love this foundation. It's not hip to wear Dior though, some youtubers don't like advertising high end products because it alienates their base. I think. I know nothing.

That is so gutting! I have really sensitive,oily,acne prone skin so I have to be super careful with what i put on my skin. It feels like nearly every foundation I use breaks me out. I know how sad it is to wake up to a full blown break out especially when your skin has been healing so beautifully. I really hope things turn around for you asap x

it's so frustrating that everyone reacts to foundations differently, because it's always scary to try new ones! mac foundation is my holy grail but for example nars and urban decay break me out like crazy!

I use this foundation almost everyday, and I can honestly say, that I've never tried a better foundation, ever! I have struggled with breakouts/acne for a long time, but since I started using this foundation I almost never get breakouts, and It has given me a lot more confidence. I'm so sad that you had that reaction! But I really hope that this video will not keep people away from buying this product!

I had a similar experience. I found this foundation dehydrated my skin leading to breakouts. I think it's for very oily skins. I think the Star foundation might be better.

Chicken Nugget i share your pain, i'm 17 and i've had awful severe acne since i was 11/12. it's calmed down a lot now but i have awful red scars on my face. my skin was so awful no amount of makeup would cover as the bumps were so raised. i would look in the mirror and cry my eyes out before school, not wanting to go because i knew i looked horrific. ive been called spotty loads, ive faced awful bullying on social media off nasty girls sharing acne jokes and tagging me. they don't realise what it does to your self esteem. i love watching these videos because it makes me feel less insecure x

I had the same reaction! And this whole time i was wondering if it was something i ate, my sunscreen, face cream, or stress from work and exams.. Because at the age of 25, my acne pretty much cleared up, and then i started using dior forever skin glow foundation for over a month. I've had these weird breakouts ever since. I tried switching my sunscreens, face creams and nothing really worked... and lol i guess i was in denial it could be dior because it did really look good on my face, gave me that dewy glowy look. I'm glad that i finally figured out what has been causing this. Thank you for this video!

You should take the foundation to an alergist. Take the ingredients of the formula to guide the doctor for a test.

I remember when I was going through pretty bad skin and I researched every ingredient into new products I wanted to try. I remember reading that the forever foundation had broken a lot of people out, so I backed away. Glad I did now! I hope your skin clears up soon Em

Wow, that's weird I've been using that foundation since four months ago and that never has happened to me, I don't use foundation everyday, but I do use it on weekends. I don't know, I love that foundation, but like always not all the products work for everyone.

You should try clearasil you can get it at Kmart, it works really good I had acne for like 3 years and couldn't get rid of it but then I found this stuff and it was gone in 1 day and to everyone else who has acne should try it tov

I have food allergies, so am actually incredibly careful with what I eat. Nothing unusual or different in my diet, and the timing is too concurrent for it to be anything else xx

Oh wow. I feel so bad for you. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Recently I've had really great success with The Ordinary's Azelaic acid. It seems to calm down angry breakouts instantly. And it helps the skin heal itself. Best of luck!!!

I do have a question have you ever tried the night serum from Drunk Elephant? After I had my son my face was like F@&k you and broke out exactly like this. So I was desperate and tried it and that product plus the whole line changed my life forever!!!

Omg nooooo Em!! I'm a long time subscriber and this is so gutting - I know you're probably used to people recommending all kinds of things, but the highly concentrated tea tree oil from Body Shop has really cleared my skin up recently! Their 3 in 1 mask/scrub is also amazing for breakouts... Lots of love, you still look just as gorge! x

oh my god this is horrible. i am so truly sorry that this happened to you. i was thinking of maybe splurging money to get a really high end foundation but after watching this, lol nope. my skin is super sensitive and even though i don't get breakouts, it gets really really red and itchy. i'll stick to my benefit and make up forever foundations. thank you for being honest in your videos, you're a beautiful person inside out.

Oh no! I really hope your skin settles down quickly. I don't suffer with acne and am fortunate enough not to get many spots, but when I use Mac foundation it brings me out in a rash and I have lost count of the number of products that I'm allergic to near my eyes. I am now so nervous of trying new products! xx

I've experienced breakouts and acne before and still have and I always want to be cooped up in my room and hide my face only because I have like 3 or 4 pimples. But you've inspired me to not care about how I look and what matters is the inside, I've watched your "YOU LOOK DISGUSTING" video everyday and inspires me to go out more and show my face. I'm so sorry this happened to you! As someone who has had some pretty obvious adverse reactions (like a full face itchy rash or really angry spots) to certain products that are amazing on others, I really feel for you. I hope your face calms down soon

I had similar reaction from too strong face peel few years ago. It took at least a week to calm down. Some silicone based foundation brake me out but nothing like that. Hope your skin heals fast.

I've been using this foundation since last year and my acne has been the worst its been. Ive been in denial that its this foundation that's causing it but after watching this, I'm going out to buy my old favorite Estee Lauder doublewear that didnt cause me this problem

HOLY. SHIT. I think you’ve finally helped me nail down exactly why my skin hates me so much right now. I’ve had this foundation for at least 2-3 years, but I rarely wear makeup so it’s lasted me a long time. Never noticed any extreme issues since I’d wear it maybe 1-3x every several months. And when I did, I never had broken skin and would wash it off immediately when I’d get home. However, ever since I caught covid in late May, my skin has been ULTRA sensitive and I’ve been getting hives (in patches over my face and parts of my body, mostly legs, tummy, and arms) for seemingly little reason. My whole skincare routine has been thrown out the door with my newly sensitized skin. On top of this, I’ve been wearing this Christian Dior FOREVER foundation muuuuch more frequently. I was beginning to see more sensitivity lately (with this increased usage). Though I blamed it solely on my post-covid sensitivity. And THEN my dumbass fell asleep with this foundation on this Sunday and woke up on Monday to tiny pustules ALL over my face. Not even regular acne, just tiny superficial pustules ALL OVER. It’s been 2 days so far and my skin is still angry and the MOST inflamed it’s EVER been, even worse than my bouts of cystic acne, which has not been as much of an issue lately. My face literally looks like if popcorn had a face.😭 I thought maybe because I’ve had the foundation for so long that it has perhaps spoiled?? (Is that even a thing for foundation?). But now I see that this foundation can be just as damaging for someone on the very first application.👀🫢 I’m now in a researching frenzy as I attempt to find a foundation with ingredients that won’t flip my skin out in its new sensitized state. Obviously won’t be putting anything on this until it fully heals, but my skin’s been ultra sensitive since catching covid and I don’t know how much longer it’s going to be this way, so I’ve gotta find the gentlest things for my face now.😣🥺 I feel your pain!

I encounter the same issue... Im using the dior backstage foundation love the coverage and finishing, however everytime the very next day boom, pimples around the cheek start to pop. Everytime I try to use the same thing happen to me.
