I know nothing about recording but I can definitely see how that makes things much simpler.

It just makes things easier . It’s nice being able to have all my amps hooked up at once . Then being able to switch between them to see what works best for the mix . Before this I would have to unplug the amp to switch it out to another one . It just became a hassle if I was switching 2-3 amps . This thing was a game changer for me .
