I am of Indian origin and am from the UK. I totally agree with your issues. It would be wise for you to consider staying in India during the winter months as a future retirement place. Unfortunately, the UK is going down with taxes, and the middle class is getting destroyed. Some Polish people even leave the UK. However, things will change in India in 10-15 years, not at present. Also, living in London, comprehensive government schools for your kids are terrible, getting worse every year; you will get a better education in private schools in India is positive. Also, some states are more friendly towards NRI than Communist States, I being Gujarati, and you will find filing for documents will be easier in the state of Gujarat since it has many NRIs from the UK & USA. Gujaratis as people who understand business, and will be more helpful than West Bengal (the curse state of India, even TATA had to leave)

ROI in Europe is the worst, the cost of living is high. There are Millions of Indians doing business navigating challenges here as they are street smart. If you are not local you will face issues in any country, NRIs invest in India not for the love of the country but for profits, if you don't want to invest it's your personal choices don't instigate others. If you are incompetent even in starting the business how will you run a business? Sorry but this is a harsh reality, you won't be treated separately because your ancestors left this country. Now, here is the solution- hire consultants (CAs) , these CAs are specialized in different industries, this is the Best time to tweet and tag national commerce minister, Gujarat investment secretary and PM. Don't generalize India's Investment scene because of your experience, It's your inability to navigate compliance.

@@TrueRK 100% agree, few NRIs return to India without proper homework or proper mindsets, they have no understanding of the environment, competition, or legal framework, and they want to solve their problems based on their experience in Western countries. When they see that is not helping then they are frustrated. At the same time people who have done good homework, and have the right partners and strategy are very successful in the Indian environment. Making this half-baked entitled video is wrong in so many ways.

If a party like BJP(which is capitalist for rich and socialist for poor) is still not able to end corruption then forget there is any hope left. I am from Haryana and it is going to be the tenth year of BJP here. I have seen their work with my own eyes. I am talking about my city, I cannot say anything about other cities of Haryana. Their development model and working speed is very fast And the atmosphere of our city is also peaceful since they came to power. Unemployment among youth is a big problem here, That's why our government got fed up and brought a job reservation bill 2 years ago in which 75% seats were reserved for the people of Haryana in both government and even private jobs, but the court banned this bill. The essence of saying is that there may be many flaws in BJP but this party is effective. I am a patriotic Indian but I have to say, I feel bad for you and you did the right thing by making this video, it will open the eyes of many people as to how difficult it is to do business in India, especially for NRI's. 100% agree, few NRIs return to India without proper homework or proper mindsets, they have no understanding of the environment, competition, or legal framework, and they want to solve their problems based on their experience in Western countries. When they see that is not helping then they are frustrated. At the same time people who have done good homework, and have the right partners and strategy are very successful in the Indian environment. Making this half-baked entitled video is wrong in so many ways.

Jash bhai some government officials don't work without bribe, but some good people also there. My personal experience- my gst no. was deactivated by a rude gst officer because for a very small reason. But after 3 months new gst officer posted here and he instantly activated my gst , he is very nice person. So, unfortunately in india corruption is integral part of the system, we have to accept it and work accordingly. Earlier i was same like you jash bhai don't wanted to pay bribe, i used to get frustrated but now i have learnt how to get my work done from government. don't waste your time charging the system, learn to work through it. Ingrained corruption in all government departments for centuries including Muslim and British rule to 2014. You think it is easy to eradicate corruption overnight? To bring about qualitative changes in the ingrained habits of old 'paapis' takes 15 years minimum. Out of them 10 years have already passed. The changes will be completed within the next 5 years. That is why the next 5 years for continuing the present government is essential for Bharat.

@chandan7040
@chandan7040 2 ай бұрын
@@AgnesMann I didn't say that the next five years will address all issues. It is generally accepted that the people appointed to high positions in administration are already within the age group of about 45 years. Their habits will not change overnight. But they will retire by 60 years. While the new younger generation who get appointed after graduation and professional studies will be around 25-28 years. After 15 years they will be about 40-45 years and will be the new appointees to the higher positions of administration and they would have been ingrained with better ideals. That is why 15 years of a government in continuation is important. Their ideals filter down to the new generation. In the meantime, the government is not idle about the existing corruption. The investigations are ever continuing and whenever the agencies get positive evidence, they take action. It is just that the corrupt try to give it a political harassment angle to the issues. But the present government is not afraid of political pushback because they are in the right with proper evidence as evident from the court orders in spite of big lawyers fighting on behalf of the corrupt. So yes, we can expect a brighter future if the present government continues at least for the next 5 years Ane preferably beyond. Of course the opposition parties will cry, but they are getting what they showed over decades. If they want different results, then they should change themselves and work for the country's progress instead of filling their pockets. The public is fed up with their forked-tongue and their arrogance. After all they are appointed to serve us but they behave as if they own the country and can sell it to the highest bidder whereas the citizens can be ignored even after all evidence is available publicly of their corruption and corrupt politics.

Mate, Im from AUS, here on some family business.... better go back to the UK, no matter how hard you try you will not settle here, I've been here last 5 years 30 years in Aus, I can't wait to fly back, In fact as soon as I'm done here, I'll fly out at a drop of a hat...what brought you here in the first place ?Even Indian citizens, who have been in the foreign services posted Overseas in good Countries are having a hard time living here, fly back asap.....u will end up, trying to move the rock of Gibraltar with no success, better go to Poland or even anywhere in Asia on a Business Visa, have you thought about Malaysia? I don't mean to deter you guys, but India is not ready yet, In my opinion it won't be ready till 2060, for the service you're looking for, remember 65% of the people don't speak English, they are in 1950 compared to the International world, remaining 35% are from present date to the future, you cannot be nice to one and all like in the UK, here sorry to say but many people are seriously crooked, you can't be a Jailer to crooks, is that what you plan to achieve mate?

Not all are corrupt. The ones are know whom they can get money from. Jash refuses to pay bribes to anyone. He truly believes that if everyone stops paying the bribes then there will be no one to take it. only then we will get genuine people in power.

this is a good idea u should write to higher up in the central government and explain your perspective about NRI investments and problems faced! i have a feeling that some action will be taken ; not immediately but in 6 months or in a year or 2

Everything is fine from India except the accent. Give me the White British accent anyday over these random telemarketers from India.
