Hey house lovers and explorers! This video I take you for a look through a very overgrown and neglected farm house that seems to have been last lived in sometime around the late 80`s.......perhaps! Still in original condition apart from a few 1930`s flavors added nearly 100 years ago! Beautiful decay an retro items makes this old home one of my favorites recently. A strange cellar seems to be under the home but do I find the entrance?
Hope you enjoy the explore, cheers for watching :-)

I use to think that too, then my parents passed away, dad 2018, mum 2021 and i could have just walked away from the house and left it as it was, which we pretty much did for 12 months, was just too hard to go back in, but my brother and i had to sell it, unfortunately. Dad built it, he and mum built 4 houses together.. now i always wonder if they have just been left by family they were left to

I grew up on a large farm, with four generations of family houses nearby ! The original one had fire damage, but we were born in one just like this, but with a second storey - bullnose verandah, fireplaces, wood stove, attached kitchen and bathroom, etc - before we moved on to the main, early Edwardian house! My other family had three old houses on their property too! I used to explore all of them, until we moved away! I hear a happy new family has renovated and extended the original paternal family home, and the garden is in even better condition! I believe all but one are still liveable! My heart breaks for this old deserted bird house! 😪

What a classic find!! It appears that virtually nobody has walked into this house since it was abandoned. I think it was abandoned much earlier than 1990. (That phone book might have just been placed there by somebody). 1972 seems to more accurate.

Another top episode, thanks Paul. The cabinet/box in the green and white bathroom looks like it was made from WW2 aircraft skins, not an unusual sight in the late-40s, when scrapping made a lot of material readily available. The lines of rivet holes, where internal strengthening stringers or ribs would’ve been attached, and the classic salty fuzz of corrosion further suggests the origin.

Hello Paul, Happy Easter to you! I enjoyed seeing this old farmhouse with the stain glass in the veranda, small windows, and the old kitchen stove. Through the years, I like seeing how bed frames were made different. I've never seen light bulbs with the longer base like that. Now I have seen old tvs and radios with the tubes inside the back. I still have a radio like that. Every time I see where they boil water to wash clothes, I think of how hard things were back then. It's a much different life today. Many people couldn't handle it. Thanks for taking us back in time. I've always enjoyed that each week.

My family farm house had the same roof shape, same round black light switches ( until mum had it renovated ) and a Meters 2 wood stove. Farm sold in 2000. House still standing tho heard it was rented out at some stage by people that damaged it. Havnt been back since it sold. Mums precious garden all dead of course.

Nice explore! Yeah, the pigeons made a bit of a messy, muck of the place, but that didn't change the floorplan of the place. With the old stove - did it come in that shade of aqua blue, or did the homeowners paint it to match the walls? If it came in that color, cool. Was the stove original to the house, or was it added with the 1930s touch-ups that were done? Interesting cavity you found, too bad you couldn't discover the entrance...but it's nice, sometimes, to leave some things to the imagination too. Keep up the fine explores and, as always, thanks for taking us along on the adventure!

Never seen those mesh springs for mattresses before. Do those corregatted metal roofs rust and leak eventually? Always wondered.

Poor foundations in a lot of older homes and reactive soil .

Hi Steve, yep Tony is correct Adelaide has reactive clay soil and is renown for its wall cracks. Adelaide also has the highest ratio of stone built homes in Australia which adds to it. Cheers for watching :-)

I normally LOVE the farmhouses, but this one looks like it was a grim way to live- there couldn't have been much income at all to not have added anything but the thirties update, and I most certainly couldn't see living in this, like this, in the 80's. It looks like a large farm property- is it really rural? There were 2 bedrooms, with single beds? Plus the veranda lean-to. It wouldn't have been for the workers with the Art-Deco add on, but maybe later on? It would have been really hot and really cold. Hey, Paul, So, I was watching an interview with Lorde, I know she is from New Zealand. but she was saying that all summer you are bombarded with cicadas? And, that this year is some special 17 year explosion thing? Anyway, thank you for exploring this one!!!-SDK

When you explore these propertys do you ever feel that they are haunted like some of the people who have paranormal channels say they do or is it only click bait.

Would you consider traveling out of your area. To explore other houses, like some other explorers? Some other explorers do, and some just stay in their area. At least what I have seen. Are you six or so,is that how you were able to gauge how tall the basement was?
