This was the death that shook me more than any other musical artist. This is what I consider the best male vocalist ever. This was right at the cusp of his stardom. He had left Wham and finally started to get some critical acclaim. This album and the songs from it were on the charts for years. Won Grammy after Grammy. He could sing, write, produce and play any instrument. Beyond talented and beyond handsome. I was lucky enough to see him live. Didn’t miss a note. The Listen Without Prejudice album is unbelievable. Miss him a lot. Still tough to listen to some of his music. Gone way too soon.

Paul, I can't live without It! I feel he is still here, through memories, & the music. It's plain to see, George has touched the lives of so many without expecting anything in return. What he hoped for most, was to be remembered for his music, that he had integrity, & was a good friend. Well, we all know he did just that. After his brush with death, he said he never knew just how his fans really cared about him, & just how grateful he was! He even apologized that he wasn't able to write back to his lovelies as he called us, to let them know just how much he appreciated & loved us. Remember, George gave us LOVE & IN MANY WAYS LIFE, as for me, I'll keep celebrating with & for him, through all the memories, To know my love is still alive! After all, I consider GEORGE AS MY LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN, & he really is! LOL my friend & Remember George & Keep The Music Playing, for yourself & for George, Ya!

I agree that he was the most handsome man of the 80s, in fact pretty much the most handsome I’ve ever seen. He was in that lucky spot in line where they handed out jaw-dropping good looks. Wrapped around immense talent and a pitch perfect voice. No wonder men and women were so crazy over him.
@michaelageorge7517
@michaelageorge7517 2 жыл бұрын
he was handsome in the 90s too. Visually, he had a phase i didn't love: between 2004-2009. During that time he had a bloated face and this stubble on his face 🙂 But just in time for his symphonica tour he looked incredibly good again.
@rosemiller2990
@rosemiller2990 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelageorge7517 That’s interesting you should say that because I saw him live on his world tour (2008 -2009) and he definitely did not look at all puffy and bloated live. He was super handsome and seemed very fit. He did however say later on during his Symphonica tour in an interview in Denmark that he had experienced some bloating, especially in his face due to a steroid his doctor had put him on because of his strained vocal cords. They were trying to keep the inflammation down and the steroid puffed him up. I would imagine maybe a lot of artists go through that when they’re going on extensive tours. George always saying live in so I imagine his vocal cords were very challenged.

When I heard this song the first time, I was frozen, Like you said, Like in a dream. Could this man be for real? His heart was just too vulnerable, Almost innocent! He is just too beautiful & sexy to be a real man! He's gotta be a jerk, like all too many men are, not all but many. WOW, I couldn't have been more wrong! Little did I know what a hold on my heart he would be. Not only his voice, talent, & good looks could have prepared me for just what an important role he would play in my heart. The man he was & still is uncomparable. He wasn't a God, George was all too human, but there were times when I got to know who he was, I was in awe, He has to be a dream! Well, he wasn't a dream, He was a gift from God to the world! All the many people his heart touched so profoundly, I'm sure would say the same thing. In fact, I know so, even If you just read people's comments. George has loved & has & is loved for all eternity! I think you're going on the road to find out. I hope so because George has made this world a better place in so many ways for so many people. It would be a shame if you didn't at least give yourself the chance that he could touch your heart the way he's touched ours. Your heart is worth It! LOL my friend, Till next time, I hope! ALWAYS REMEMBER GEORGE & KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING!

This one is so hard for me to listen to because when he passed away and we heard about it, we were actually listening to his and it hit all of us hard. There's a beautiful song he wrote when his lover passed away, Jesus to a child. It is stunning. It's so true what you are saying about going (sometimes without realizing) to the same sort of person each time and not learning even when you think you have.

As I matured and revisited his work and really took the time to listen to him, I appreciated him more. I know I've given you this previously but this is my list of GM songs that must be listened to. Please ignore those you've already reacted to. A Different Corner(my personal fave song, ever, by any artist) Jesus To A Child (written about his partner that died from AIDS related complications, his entire album, Older, is dedicated to him) One More Try Freeeek!, video is hilarious Fast Love (If possible watch video, it's amazing) Freedom 90 (Video is STUNNING) Monkey Spinning The Wheel Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day Older Wham!: Club Tropicana Young Guns (Go For It) Everything She Wants Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do) Where Did Your Heart Go The Edge Of Heaven Battlestations

Agree with you ... he was beautiful. Not just in the 80s but for as long as humans can appreciate physical beauty. GM wrote this song when he was 22-23, arranged and produced it - as part of the Faith album - at 23 and released at 24. The title One More Try was only sung at the very end of the song. He resisted until the very end ... when he decided to take one more chance. Love the fact that you're just about the only male reactor who has ever remarked about his physical beauty. The sounds that you hear come from the vinyl recordings. For music purists, vinyl is the real deal over the clean sounds of CD/Blueray.

Upbeat or slow, George is spectacular, and ballsy, lol. When he got arrested early '98 by undercover cops in a public restroom for a "lewd act"...most performers would have kept a low profile until the storm passed, but George promptly released the song AND VIDEO "Outside", as a big ole in-your-face F.U. to the establishment...the video has it all (police/public urinals/various public sexual scenarios, lol), and it's a great song! My feel good go-to song of GM is always "Fast Love"...epic vid, epic lyrics, and it samples one of my fav R&B jams, 1982's "Forget Me Nots" by Patrice Rushen.

By the way Anton, I have a suggestion to you: next December 25 is the 5th anniversary of George Michael death 💔. This passing, most of us who are fans still can’t cope with. For this reason I humbly suggest you to react to some GM songs from MTV unplugged to celebrate his incredible legacy. My best bet would be any of these songs below from the Acoustic George Michael, it would be a great way to pass though the date in a positive way. Star People Everything she wants You have been loved I can’t make you love me Fastlove A different cirner Freedom 90’ Father figure Thanks so much for read g this comment 🥰

If you do a commentary on Jesus to a Child. The best of his is on MTV Berlin. He did 2 performances Freedom and Jesus to a Child. KZfaq has them - it runs about 12 minutes. Jesus to a Child is gorgeous musically as well as lyrically. But it is also a very sad love song (my opinion). A great talent on so many levels.

I know it was never "confirmed," but the reason why this song spoke to me as a then 16 year old who had tried to commit suicide three times & bullied for years being called "homo," "fag," "ugly," "stupid," "no one will love you" & "you should just kill yourself," though I had no clue that I was a gay young male but I knew I had more attraction to some of the others teenage boys in my neighborhood. The reason why this was the only 45 of his I ever bought was when I listen to it now, knowing how much of a struggle George was having battling his sexuality and being FORCED to be a "straight male heart throb," that this was his song saying he wanted to be truly loved by another man but had been battered and bruised by trying to be straight that it caused him to probably mistrust another man's advances "I'm so cold, inside." It truly makes me wonder how his career would have been if they would have let him be himself instead of that fear too many of us had to live with all those years ago. Again, thank you for doing just about every song that I truly love. I know when you do these videos, you are not speaking to any one person in particular, but it truly feels you vocalize my thoughts when you give your reaction/analysis & though we probably will never meet, you have made the last year of my life (through all the medical problems - particularly stage 4 bone cancer) worth living! xo

You definitely change through pain. Can't remember who said this but I love this quote *"Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted."* Edit: looked it up. It was Randy Pausch OF COURSE. The famous professor from CMU (Carnegie Mellon) who died from pancreatic cancer. His book was amazing.

Brother...your analysis of this hit me hard and got me to subscribe. After helping my partner of 24 years pass to cancer a few years ago...your comments on our teachers really hit home. Knowing this song well from back in the day....I look at it totally different now...your thoughts brought about that realization while in my rebuilding process. Thank you.
