I watched your earliest 152 training videos as I was a high schooler becoming a filmmaker. I transitioned onto film school as you grew as an aviator, a channel, and a filmmaker. I watched your videos as I graduated and got a job, moved out of filmmaking whilst you stayed strong. Today, I’ve moved to the United States, and am attending Embry-Riddle to put this whole thing to rest once and for all. You’ve been a part of my life, and I wish you a happy 2021.

I’m merely one of 128k subscribers but I just want to tell you that your video making is superb. You’ve changed over the years. The tone of your videos has changed. I truly love how you do them now. Like many folks , 2020 was frankly a terrible year for me personally but again , I’m just one of millions and many had it WAY worse. Yet, there were some good things along the way. Some involved aviation. Thanks for making a video reminding me to take a look back for the good , not the bad. I appreciate all the work you put into your productions. And they are productions , not videos. You’ve become a great asset to the GA community. Happy New Year Josh. If you get to Lake Havasu Az again (pretty sure you were here already) lunch is on me. :-)

Thank you Josh! last summer I was in the hospital for 45 days with big health problems, the kind that could ground a pilot forever. I had a tablet while I was there and watched your videos and it kinda encouraged me to first get well again and second to fly again, its been a few years since i've flown but have my ppl since june of 1986. Just had to say that you inspired me a lot to get back up there, my health is nearly back to 100% and like to think that your inspiration is a part of that! Thanks!

Great video and inspiring message: I had to quit flying years ago, because I lost my job and the money ran out. Since a year and a few months I live in a small village in the northern part of the Nederlands: Gaastmeer, population about 300 people. I met some very sweet people, became an active member in the church community here. A couple who are running a farm and bed and breakfast have a little sailing boat. They don't have much time to sail, but my wife and I may use the boat like it's our own! In return we help with maintanance and repairs. We were allowed to use a Canadian canoe which is seldom used by others. We live in a part of the country with many beautiful lakes and small canals. We make beautiful bicycle tours in the surroundings. We and our children are still healthy, no Corona problems. Yes, 2020 was tough, but a lot of silver linings! And it's a lot of fun to follow flying adventures on your and other canals! Keep up the good work!

With all my travel plans being cancelled and the money that was then freed up this year, (2020) I decided it was time to start flying again. After 14 years of taking a break, I got back up into the skies again. Then being frustrated in scheduling a rental plane I decided to become an aircraft owner. I bought a great 1977 Cessna R172XP. I've learned so much during the process of buying an airplane. I'm now instrument current as well. I found a love for giving back by doing Public Benefit Flying. a.k.a. Angel Flights. These flights are so rewarding and it also gives me a reason and a place to go fly. Now I just hope we have a mild winter here in Chicago. While in the early part of the pandemic and the lockdowns I am grateful to have found Aviation 101 as an incredible source to keep learning. Thank You Josh for this amazing content and thought provoking ideas like AQP. Let's keep this momentum up for 2021! Wishing you Blue Skies ahead.

As far as I know I have not missed a single Aviation 101 production in 2020. You have a beautiful announcer voice with great personality. Your production of videos accompanied with clear-cut precise editing are stunning. Over the year I have seen great growth in you as you develop skills in both flying and story-telling. Great job! Look forward to 2021 with you.

Aug 2019 was the last time I flew and I do not know when I will start again, family continues to come first, your videos keep the dream alive and help me to cope with life. Have a great 2021Josh and your family.

Josh, once again, you brought us another great year of education, entertainment, and inspiration. I especially connected with your comment here about "16Right". That documentary (which I have 2 copies of on DVD and the accompanying "16Left" making-of DVD) was something that was so inspiring to me as a young aviator. The cinematography and storytelling that Ryan brought to the aviation community has shown in much that has been produced since, and its effects on your own filmmaking are clear and definitely well taken/executed by you. You had so many good little "one shot" videos this year as well. The flight with Angel Flight is one that should be one that is in your reel for many years to come. It was very well done and really embodies your "content with meaning" ideals. Likewise, I was so excited to see when Emily posted on Instagram that you were joining them on their Yacht and I was so hoping that we'd get a video from you on it. When it posted, I watched it immediately and wasn't disappointed. You told another great story and had some awesome footage. I also appreciate that all of y'all actually made sure to enjoy the trip and not spend the whole thing filming. Finally, the AQP - this project is something that I am so glad to see going on in the community and something that is getting attention. Even as Dan was rolling out AQP with you and Steve, my main venue of flying, through Civil Air Patrol, is jumping onto that bandwagon. We don't yet have an AQP syllabus, but it's coming. With our recent spate of unfortunate accidents ourselves, the need for better training is only made more acute. Anyways, long winded (surprise), but I hope you're having a great New Year's Eve (almost midnight CST as I type this) and I can't wait to see what's to come in 2021.

I bet I joined the channel much later than almost all people that have commented here. My passion of aviation started two years ago, and I started to look into GA only at the beginning of 2020, but that's why 2020's important for me. As a high school student, I have finally found something that I love and something that I call it "my dream". It is this channel that brought me into the knowledge part of GA, and at the same time how fascinating GA flying could be. Looking forward to watching new cotents on the channel, and Happy New Year!

The best thing about being a pilot is that your always learning. Don't stay stuck in the C-172. Get your multi and move up to bigger and more powerful aircraft. My passion was IFR flying and Aerobatics with contests put on by the International Aerobatic Club (IAC) part of the EAA. Find your path in Aviation. It might be Warbirds, Vintage or Sailplanes. When you find that path, do more than you think possible. No matter how much money you have, in Aviation it will never be enough. Happy Flying

I keep waiting for that Josh Flowers Production to show up on Discovery Channel every week, I know it's coming, just be sure to post a notice here so we don't miss it. Let me drop a little carrot of wisdom on you to ponder for a while, a teacher of mine once defined the process of education as "the process of learning more and more about less and less until you know everything about nothing". Take a minute to let those words sink in and reflect on their meaning. To me, what I get from them is that we can never stop learning, for when we stop learning we stop living, and I feel one of the best ways to continue learning is to teach, because when we teach we also learn. Josh I feel you are an excellent teacher I learn something new form each of your videos. Keep up the great work and see you on Discovery Channel soon!!

N94CP in the thumbnail is in my logbook. I rented it to fly to college to take a final exam in 2003. Also in 1999 I did my night cross country flights in it for my private pilot. Had my parents in the back for that flight and there was a meteor shower. I remember printing out the PIREPs at the old Piedmont FBO in RDU and reading about all the meteors being reported. Memories, good memories.

Nice job finishing off 2020 Josh. Decades ago I spent some time in Alexandria, Egypt for work and nothing makes you appreciate the US more than being away from it. I feel like it's that way for anyone that is out of their country. I loved seeing the sights and meeting the people (most of them) but man it was good to get home. 2020 set the bar so low 2021 can't be anything but outstanding lol There is a chance that the CFI that I rent from is going to pick up an IFR training capable C172 and I may get to reenter the instrument training environment. We'll see. Finishing my instrument rating is my #1 aviation goal for 2021 (and 2020).

Not flight related but just want to share. My Wife and I got to vacation in Miami and Key West the first week of December 2019. My family then (my Son on leave) from the Army got to go to Disneyland on New Years Day 2020. We then took my Daughter to Las Vegas for her 21st Birthday the last week of January 2020. I'm so glad I got those moments in with my family before the stuff hit the fan. Be safe everyone. Thanks for the Vlog!
