In his defense, as a sova main, it can be a bit tricky to time when to use an ult, especially on attack. It's odd he didn't use it once but I think he played sova pretty well, although he seemed very lineup focused and not too much on how to actually play him. Good job H20!

this stream chat was ruthless for no reason, he played exceptionally well considering all the players in that lobby were ascendant 3 which would be almost 6 ranks above him. his util was great apart from maybe not taking advantage of some easy post plant spots and his aim although not perfect was still great for the rank he is at. i think his biggest problem was his fear to commit, he seems to overthink plays especially when bringing out the drone.

for me its not the frames that hold me back, its how my screen will randomly freeze while playing valorant and I would have to hard reset causing me to get a penalty for afk. Edit: Thx to likhith,ThatOneCreature0110 and bianca for the feedback, it has helped a ton. Thank You

My story was EXACTLY like his. Playing from right when it was released, hard stuck in silver cause 40fps and stuttering. Upgrade to 240 fps. I literally flash my way out of silver. Before I know it I'm play and in a month or more I'm ascendant. Currently immo1

Sova ults are notoriously hard to time, since one wrong ult could fk up your entire team or an enemy could just rush you. Most of the time we use it in attacking when team is grouped up or if someone is trying to plant on another site.

This makes sense. In overwatch I went from Gold to Diamond in like 2-3 weeks after getting better PC and faster monitor.

i actually understands this guy, he can go ascendent if he grinds because PC upgrade is a Huge factor when it comes to playing Esports title, I bought a new laptop with 165hz Refresh rate (legion 5 2021 with 3070 ) i went from Gold 3 to Ascendent 3 in 9 days Ep 6 Act 1 and now im immo 2 and 3 just dancing between the Ranks :)

To be fair, some of the times he doesn't use utils are when he's left by himself and he has no info and he's not in a safe corner. I'd rather be holding a gun than a bow/shadow orb thing. Rather, it's more his pathing and positioning in those situations that need more work.

Importance of good PC set-ups should be emphasized more if you want to be a better player, assuming that you've reached your wall when it comes to aim and game sense. We should really need acknowledge that without that comfort and aid brought by better gaming equipment, an individual would be capped at a lower level compared to those who had a better/greater PCs but had worse aim. I also experienced being hardstuck in silver 1 on act 5 and at one point, I experienced being demoted to bronze 2. At that time, i'm only using my PC with wifi connection (with wifi dongle), 3 dollar mouse, and a 20 dollar decent mechanical keyboard. After using LAN cable for internet connection and upgrading to 15 dollar mouse, i literally shot past up to diamond within 15 days and climbed to ascendant 1 after an episode.

as someone who has peaked in ascendant with an i5 10500 and a gtx1650. your frames dont mean as much as you think, as long as you arent lagging constantly you can live off 100 frames. i hit ascendant 2 times on 80-120 fps.

There is a point in his argument because if your laggy enough you can’t defuse the spike and I’ve lost matches because of that but some benefits is sometimes if you miss it just gives you back your shot there’s also somthing about that that’s bad because it can happen if you hit them too but another op thing is you can sometimes see through smokes it’s happened to me 2x with the neon wall so there are ups and downs

He played pretty good in the first game but I think he could do more comms he didn't say much during the first game and he can also use his ulti more when they are rushing b every round. not too sure about the second game I was on the other team. Its was fun to be part of this

Everybody thinks that its all about skills but one of the most notorious killer of great gameplay is packet loss and I hope valorant can do something about it

I think it would be very nice to see how these players doing when they are on a weaker side team. As u can see both the dualists on plat player team is significantly fragging better than the other. Which puts him at an easier position to trade, but what if he didn’t have those ppl to play off of?

Yes I would guess Sova for guess the Plat in Ascendent lobby only because he went so long without using hit ult which is a huge problem in lower ranks so I would guess him lower. Other than that he has aim matched with the rest of them.

From what i can see, he can comfortably go to diamond but not ascendant. He can touch ascendant but idk whether he can make do in a high ascendant/low immortal lobbies. His utility usage is barely anything but he does have good aim. The attacking darts requires more variation, and some other situation where u shouldnt go for a lineup, he should have winging it while running with his team to have better positioning. I barely ever seen him droning, this might be hindsight but it might be due to his teammate telling not to so who knows. Ults should be use, if u are scared to use or want to save for next round, it will never end well. Theres alot of situation where u should have ult'ed and are really safe (like in round 17, u should have backed off and ulted b site when they are executing, you are safe since theres an omen behind you plus B site is small, so you should get some picks). On pistol first round defending, u shouldnt use ur dart immediately cuz most of the time enemy just braindead rush into sites, use it for retake or helping the guy on site. Lineups shouldnt be used extensively, I barely ever have lineups since they require too much prep and uses too much time lining up where u should have position urself better in gun duels with your teammates. Sure there is some lineups u can use but most of them should be lenient and not pixel perfect. This is my opinion on him playing Sova.

I can relate, I was hardstuck iron because of my garbage laptop, upgraded to a gaming laptop which isn’t the greatest but the game is acc playable, I hit diamond in an episode, and I’m currently at immo1 looking to build a proper setup, so I can grind for radiant, ig one thing u can work on regardless of ur rig is game sense, because I ranked up by outplaying my enemies rather than outaiming them

I agree, PC problems often do make you worse, I used to be far worse than my silver friends back when I played on 40 fps, the first round I played with my new PC was a custom with those same friends and at 400fps I absolutely destroyed them lol

my friend is literally the exact same situation (plat 1 says he deserves asc-immo bc he only gets 30-40 frames)

The main thing about his gamesense is his utils usage. He don't use them much (shocks and ult)

4:09 gets pick short, plants for short, gets greedy and doesn't play on the plant for short. Good lineups, good aim, has a great info play, but should not be the last player alive if it can be helped. Especially with FPS diff.

I always thought my internet was bad but apparently I only get 30-70 ping most games. And yet I somehow teleport in the direction I was walking despite stopping a second earlier.

I was hard stuck gold cause i had 60 hertz monitor then i discovered the monitor could give 75 hertz(budget pc no multithreaded rendering) after that reached plat, then i got a laptop 144herts/180fps, i limit the fps to prevent over heating my laptop , stopped playing for some time and started playing again , reached diamond and this act reached Ascendant 2 (so i can relate hardware really holds you back but there is so much hardware can do, you have to know and admit your weaknesses and start strengthening them, daily exercise helps (physical)

For the first few rounds when he wasnt fragging it kinda looks like he was just admiring the fps :).

Honestly, I'm pretty shit at the game. I got a computer upgrade and yes I did make it to ascendant but it wasn't anything crazy. The only problem I have is playing on a laptop screen is so painful (I react really slowly if the enemies are further away, because I legit dont see them lmao) and I long for the day I upgrade to a bigger monitor.

Im also the same but i peaked plat 2 and i think i could do better if i had a better pc im currently playing on 1060 or something x 768 resolution and i find it really hard to kill enemies with the huge crosshairs and i need to cap my fps to 60 because if i dont everytime my frames drop my pc would crash everytime i play fracture or pearl i drop to 55 and with a harbor on the team id be in 40

For me i dont have frame problems I just have a crap ton of ping spikes. I've tried everything to fix it but nothing worked. I've just summed it up to my wifi being bad and learned to deal with it. Hopefully Ill get gold soon

The problem for me is my frames. my refresh rate is 60 but most time it is 40 or below and while im in gun fight my fps just dips to like 10 fps and i loose.

I used to be hardstuck silver when I was playing on my laptop. Once I upgraded to pc I got to plat easily and now I'm Asc2 climbing up to immo;P

Im playing Valorant for a year almost now, my friend introduced me to it. it's my first PC game I ever played and I'm hard stuck silver. I also have a very low end laptop and I don't even have WiFi I play on mobile internet so it's pretty much the case why I'm stuck at silver. Maybe considering it's my first PC game I ever played it's not easy for me to get good at it very fast so I think I will be good for for Plat atleast.

should stick to Sova and use ults when it can win you the round. Should try a different initiator instead of Fade probably Kay/0.

Bro I feel his pain I’m hardstuck silver and I also think it’s cuz of my setup. My ping constantly jumps to almost 1000 and my frames are averaging 50-70. Even with my lag I still top frag almost every game

It's true, before ascendant came out i had a laptop only 60fps and i went all the way to diamond. I knew my hardware was holding me back. Got a pc after months of saving/earning and made it to immortal in literally 2 weeks.

The only thing that holds back other players are fps and hz, played on my friends high end pc and never look at my potato pc the same as it was

Sometimes gear will hold you back. Just upgrading my mouse to a one that supports higher IPS was enough to get Plat after being hardstruck silver.

I can definitely say your pc affects your performance a lot, i used to play on a crappy laptop which used to stutter and give like 40fps, i have a pc now with a big monitor and 244hz. I have gone from bronze to plat, btw i dont play much usually like 4-5 every 2 weeks
