Would you try pickle pizza? I mean, you should, I did and even though I might like almost everything, I really liked it.

Here is my recipe, kinda sorta:
2 tbsp crushed garlic
4 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
4 tbsp olive oil
1.5 tsp: Oregano, Red Chili Flakes, Onion Powder and Salt (adjust to taste)
Spread on room temp pizza dough. Add mozzarella cheese, top with cold dill pickle slices. Bake at 425 for 24 minutes. Top with dill.

Suggestion: Royal dishes (from royal kitchens)around the world along with the historical stories related to it. In India, there are dishes which were specially made for the royal families. Galawat Kebab, Mysore Pak, Balai Paan are few I could recall. Would love to know about similar dishes from different countries. Love this video ❤

See what I love is that Rhino's put serious thought into what would go with pickles before putting it on a pizza and then put thought into what kind of pickles would work.

Yeah. Because it's a fairly unusual topping and a strong taste that is not many people's cup of tea...including myself. I remember having one in the "all-you-can-eat" buffets of Pizza Hut around here, and it was awful...really. I could bet that they included this for shooing away the big eaters that are exploiting their system

@@yorgunsamuray It was included for novelty, a lot of buffets do this. It’s a little hard to “exploit” a buffet. That’s what buffets are literally for and what they do. Nobody pays for a buffet to eat a small amount.

Pickles are brined like many other great pizza toppings. It's one of my favorite pizza toppings. It works with a regular red sauce just like banana peppers do.

Good stuff! I started putting pickles on my pizza when I worked at a pizza parlor over 40 years ago! Lots of pizza places offered banana peppers as a topping. So, dill pickles aren't so strange. More recently, I've been known to use dill relish (easier) and/or kimchi. I don't make a sauce, but brush the dough with olive oil and add fresh garlic. It's all good;-) Love your videos!

I shared your video with my husband who LOVES dill pickles! He made one this afternoon for lunch and said it was really really really good. He was surprised it was as good as it was as he was a bit skeptical about pickles on pizza. Something about warmed pickles being weird... He ate those words along with 2/3's of the small 'za. I think pickle is a good side dish to go with pizza. In Korea, pizzerias serve pizza with a little pocket of pickles. Sweet pickles

Hi Beryl! I love watching your videos , I love learning about the world and other cultures. You get a good gist of it from the food. My son is a picky eater, he just turned 5, he refuses to try anything new. So, we watch your videos together, and this is one pizza that he wants to try to make and eat because he loves pickles.! He has even tried many of the recipes from other videos. I guess that watching your videos has created an adventurous boy willing to try anything that you Beryl says yum to. 😊

In Scotland we have a beloved abomination called a pizza crunch. You get it from literally any chippy (fish and chip shop) it's a small thick bready pizza that is battered and deep fried

A good while ago now this take-out only pizza place opened up in my town and they’re the place that introduced me to pickle pizza, it’s been my all time favorite pizza ever since and I’m so glad it’s getting more love!!

Hey Beryl, I almost made it to the most recent videos. Love your channel and comment section is "da best", almost everyone is nice and understanding :) Coming back to pickles on pizza, in Poland we do it quite often, usually on pizza called country/rural/farmer's pizza; there will be also probably: polish sausage, onion And bacon. Other "strange" ingredients on pizza: smoked cheese and cranberry sauce or jam; another combination: ham, mushrooms and egg. In some restaurants you can find pickled paprika as a topping.

We literally just finished eating our pizza dinner! We wanted to make weird combos and we put kimchi, silken tofu and cream cheese along with the usual Mozarella and other veggies! After it went out the oven we drizzled honey and sprinkled chilli flakes. The kimchi vegetables remained crispy too and balanced out with the creamy cheeses

I discovered how great cheese and kimchee are togather when I subbed it for sauerkraut as a hotdog topping years ago. Now I don't make grilled cheese without it! I make my own and use the stinkiest kimchee I have, but it's good with fresh kimchee, too- a great gateway for friends who aren't familiar with fermented foods.

There's a pizza place by me that does a gochujan sauce base, korean fried chicken, kimchi, garlic puree, mozz, smoked gouda, scallions, cilantro and sesame seeds. Its. Freaking. Delicious 🤤

Pickles on pizza are the best! I love them so much! One of my fave toppings! Dominos in Germany does a Hot Dog and Cheeseburger Pizza and they are so good.

Back in the nineties, I deep-fried batter-dipped dill pickle nuggets. I don't have the recipe anymore, but gosh they were wonderful. Totally surprising tasty surprise. Did not have a typical dill pickle flavor, just like you mentioned in this video.

That's crazy! Also that original IG post looks like a pizza from the IL/IA Quad Cities. Places like Pizza Joynt in Milan, IL have had pickles as a topping for ages, and cutting it into those strips is definitely the 'Quad Cities style'!

I clicked so fast. I grew up on the Canadian side just over from Rochester and I love the foods. I have to drink a Rolling Rock when I partake however because both are rare treats for me now that I make for memories.
