I watched MTV2 like crazy when I was fifteen and I loved staying up to watch Wonder Showzen. Man, talk about a roller coaster of emotions it provoked: amusement, sadness, disgust, anger... I've got both seasons on DVD and the episodes only get better with each viewing. My favorites are probably "Patience" and "Cooperation", which were designed specifically to drive viewers absolutely insane.
@pnwexbeerience43726 ай бұрын
Omg!!! The first time I watched this show was at a neo-nazi’s house while on mushrooms for the very first time. First of all I didn’t know that the guy was a nazi until I started tripping and noticing all these red flags (no pun intended) all around his house. But I was stuck there.. then he put this show on and it was so disturbing… I ended up just leaving and walking through the woods by myself to get back to the safety of my own home. Once I got home I just laid in bed and laughed and laughed uncontrollably for a couple hours and then passed out. When I woke up the next day it felt like such a fever dream.. especially this show.

@murrfeeling6 ай бұрын
Once you get the premise and the one note of each one note character Mr. Pickles gets predictable. It would end in violence, as expected, just like Superjail and most of Metalocalypse. Wondershowzen would take a back road to weird new places with no warning.

"Lordy, that lord meat is ass kickin' hot." "When you order a 6 piece nugget and they give you 7... and a switchblade!" "Would you like to use this napkin to wipe the blood off your hands?" This show is almost more quotable than Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Thank you for covering this absolute gem. It's definitely not talked about enough. Another wonderful segment they had was called Q & A, where they asked kids to answer a question like "What is heaven?" or "What is happiness?" I'm surprised now memes haven't sprang from those segments. The red headed kid reporter also dressed up as Lil' Dead Pope and talked to people on the street which was just... just fantastic. Fun fact: the season one DVD contained a "hang in there" poster where Chauncey was swinging on a noose. Definitely a conversation starter when you hang that up in your apartment.

The Shivering Truths is my favorite show from Adult Swim! I kinda grew up with Adult Swim, I'd stay up late to watch old cartoon reruns with my dad and he'd let me watch the first hour or so of whatever aired on Adult Swim that night while he did chores for my grandma nect door. Robot Chicken was my favorite because of the stop motion and use of iconic kids toys. Years later Covid is about to hit and these weridcore, disturbing stop motion ads are popping up everywhere, and I'm sitting in front of my TV again exicted to watch a show on Adult Swim again for the first time in years. Crazy to know that this is where that show came from, it's unexpected but, totally understandable! Thanks for making such an interesting video and helping preserve/spread knowledge of a show that's being forgetten. I can't wait to watch it on the Internet Archive!
