That's because of less post processing. Reason why everyone is picking up old P&S cameras, I myself don't like the way photos look on iPhone anymore because of how the software renders them. 3GS & 4S are my favorites!

Probably my favorite looking iPhone to this day. The new 15 Pro (especially in that Titanium color) look pretty good too. I don’t know if I even still have my 4s, but it was my first phone and they were so cool to have back then. I don’t really miss it, but I wish the newer phones looked a bit closer to it; especially with the silver on the side and the camera being flush with the back instead of sticking out.

No way it is this blurry, especially on the parts where there is a still focus on you - I have my old iPhone 4s and the focus is sharp

The camera could be damaged. That happened to my 5c back in the day. I dropped it and the camera quality went to shit

iPhone 4s had the first smartphone camera that I was so impressed with. Was in key west for a beautiful sunset photography. Had my Nikon pro Nikon DSLR with me but in the rush to get to the area I took what I thought were fresh charged batteries. Was mad to find I took the wrong ones. Camera died quickly and said well that sucks as was going back home the next day. Took out my 4s and got shooting. Went back and up loaded to my MBP. Was so amazed by how good the images looked.

I have a white iPhone 4s. And I love it. And I got it when I was 6 years old. Back in 2013. And it still works great

iPhone 4s was my first smartphone at 21 years old, I then switched to android in 2012 sometime and just recently switched back to iPhone in jan of this year. I remember being impressed with iPhone 4s's camera back in the day.

I remember back then I was super impressed with the camera quality. It was ahead of its time. Nowdays it only looks blurry, but the rest like colors etc. still look at least good up to this day!

You might want to clean the lens, something is definitely blurry. Also if you put the 4s on a table very still it will capture better photos, as the 4s didn't have OIS and it shakes a tiny bit when you are trying to capture a photo.

This video is not in focus, the image quality is not this blurry (just compare it to the outdoor footage). I still have many videos from my 4S and the image is way better than this. Anyway, this was my first iPhone and I still have complete in box.

He might have just needed to clean the lens, or it could have been back in the day when Apple was a little more obvious when they degraded certain features in order to get people to upgrade.

idk if it's just nostalgia but i always felt the colors of the photos from the iphones back then were closer to life than the ones now. they feel more saturated and over processed and the ones back then were doing everything to keep it stock.

Just goes to show that people shouldn’t dismiss how good phone cameras can be when a phone from 13 years ago can produce this kind of quality. I don’t think anyone would’ve thought this was shot on a 4S if it wasn’t pointed out. Could easily start up a channel with a cheap 4S and get by fine. These days it’s a whole different story, with Apple shooting many professional looking vids on iPhones and it blows peoples minds lol
