Join in today's adventure where I make a HUGE Landscape Photography Mistake out in the field at Arkaroola. When I first started KZfaq I was consistently making this same mistake out in the field, capturing too many videos and forgetting the most important aspect of photography, capturing the light!
This judgement of error was a rewind-the-clock moment for me years ago when I first started filming, how frustrating it was! Let me know below the last time you went out in the field to capture and image and make a landscape photography mistake that cost you the image.

Ah im a new sub just a beginner but Im astonished at how many of you are filming and the shots your filming are breathtaking and even mobile phones these days have amazing camera capabilities why couldnt you take a few snaps with the phone? just curious not ridiculing its a genuine question. Can someone make a short what resume of what was the mistake in 2 lines, please? No battery on the camera? Or wrong lenses? I didn't really understood it. Sorry😅 Thanks for the work though and excellent views.

I sort of understand, but nearly every landscape photographer does this. Have to play the KZfaq algorithm game to attract viewers. I won't hold it against Matt.

@@The_Cyberz By all means put the clickbait stuff in the thumbnail, but the video title should be at least somewhat descriptive otherwise it won't show up in seaches, so it's bad SEO. "THIS was a huge mistake" - what is "THIS"?

Mate honestly I totally get what you mean. But unfortunately it sort of has to be done. It's my livelihood it's what puts food on the table for me. If I describe the video no one watches, meaning I don't get paid and if I don't get paid it means I can't make videos. Period. Honestly, I hate it, deep down I really hate it. But it's my job, career and passion. We need to almost do it to stay afloat. And when I say get paid, I make less than $300aud a month from all my videos combined. It's a tough gig mate...
