I feel like it's ok because Street Fighter (or perhaps Capcom fighters in general) and SNK fighters feel like close relatives, like two brothers who grew up together. They influenced each other so much they would not be the same without each other. I think they share the same fan base as well.

Whenever a guest character appears in a fighting game series it’s typically one and done and generally treated as an external noncanon event, yet Akuma is actually part of that series’ lore Has that ever happened? Whoever was upset about Terry Bogard coming to SF6 must have been living under a rock for decades. It’s no different than Terry showing up in Fighting EX Layer, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, or Fall Guys, and let’s not forget: Terry and other SNK characters have been duking it out with Street Fighter characters since Capcom vs. SNK. Also, where was the outrage when Geese came to Tekken 7? Selective outrage, I tell you. ☕️

I am completely against guests in Street Fighter. But.... If it had to happen, I'm glad it's Terry and Mai. I love SNK and if this paved the way for CvS3 then I'm here for it.

I was a little bummed out at first because everyone asked for a Capcom vs. SNK 3, not a couple of one-and-done guest stars of Street Fighter 6 which are Terry and Mai.

Wait, a minute. I remember being in High School at the time and reading a manga with the Fatal Fury team beating Kyo's team. I couldn't read Japanese at the time, but I remember Joe beating the other two members, Kyo defeating Joe with two kicks before beating Andy with one super move. Then Kyo and Terry fought, and Terry won with a power geyser. Kyo was left unconscious and when he woke up Terry was there, they spoke about something, and then Kyo moved on. I don't know what was said (man I wish I could read Japanese at the time). I remember this because this was a big thing. Terry was my favorite character and Kyo was my brother's and we always debated who would win and that manga solidified my argument, although my brother did point out it was Kyo that moved on. We didn't know why, but we figured it was either a technicality or Terry just forfeited.

im so glad to finally getting a genuine continuation of his story,fatal fury is the only game where terry was an honest character and palying KOF over the years he just seemed like some sort of side fan-service. I feel like where he feels most at home,besides fatal fury,would be street fighter alongside ken as some sort of long lost brother. The two have an iron bond of understanding and i feel like the connections between them are even deeper than ken and ryu in an honest sense.

Pretty interesting Terry history VOD. In regards to this coming out of the blue; there was an EVO a few years back that had a a mini SNK/Capcom collab with promotional art hinting at them working together. Also, SF5 has Akira, from Rival Schools, which is a different franchise. Guess things were never the same since way back then. 😅

I think if it was just isolated as terry being a character it's a good thing. However, there's probably some legal contract that'll make things complicated in the future for distribution, re releases, etc...

As a child in the early 90's with small knowledge of fighting games. I always assumed Terry was Ken, I couldn't tell the difference. They both had blonde hair and wore red, but Terry stood out more to me because of his sleeveless denim Jacket. I might be the only one, but my ONLY complaint about Terry’s inclusion to the SF6 roster is that they didn’t give him a cool new redesign. Bison’s redesign looks sooooooo cool, I absolutely love it. I think it's crazy some people may think Terry got his way into SF6 only to make people look at Garou. The first thing that came to my mind is, Capcom and SNK are cooking a sweet sweet baby, maybe CvS3 or SVC2. I don't think SNK is expecting to sell millions of copies of Garou.
