Ummm, it's interesting that you guys are putting these kids in Abby next year. Let them stay in junior for another year or 2, then bring them to Abby for a year or 2. Then maybe the Canucks

Honestly, at least you guys did say that there is no guarantee that anyone will make the roster but this is way overbullish take. Round 5-7 players have an average of 14% making the NHL.

I don’t know man… I try not to get hyped for anyone past the 2nd round anymore… cole cassels, Tyler madden… these are just the two I can think of off the top of my head that gained a lot of hype being drafted after the 2nd round. I’m sure there is more

How does the leading goal scorer and a 111 point guy make to the 4th round? Sure he is in the second year of draft eligibility, but so what. He had more points than dozens of guys who were drafted last year. Including #10 pick from last year Dalibor Dvorsky who had 88 points.

He reminds me a bit of Jason Krog. PPG player, centre and terrific playmaker at the AHL level. He topped out one year at 112 points playing for the Canucks' AHL affiliate the Chicago Wolves. But for whatever reason, he couldn't stick at the NHL level. He played basically 2 full NHL seasons and had a career high of 25 points. You never know. That's why you take a gamble with these picks and hope they develop over the next 4 years.

@@christhornycroft3686- Romani has a much higher ceiling than Krog and probably a higher basement too. He put up 111as a true 18yr old. Simply got overlooked for the most part, usually guys who do this type of thing do it for the first time as a 19 or 20yr old, more like Bains and then you have to take it with a bit of a grain of salt and see what they can do as men-against_men but doing it as a legit 18yr old is impressive.

Here we go again with the future. W.T.F.. What about today? Are the Canucks just going to sit back and watch every other team get better? That seems to be the way it goes again. Talk , talk ,talk! Why trade for Lindholm and Zadoroff if you can’t get them signed? The Canucks weren’t in the position last year to trade for rentals. If the Canucks don’t get an elite player to play with Pettersen it will be the same reason for him to not perform at the level he is expected to play. Why sign Pettersen to that big contract and expect him to play with 3rd. and 4th. liners. Alvin needs to get something done. Right now I don’t have the confidence he will.
