My husband and I made corrugated metal and wood beds and we love them! I wouldn’t mind getting a couple of these! They look really nice… And, I could use some nets because the Japanese beetles were horrible last summer!…( I think Tuck needs a sweater. He looked cold. I worry about his age and his health issue even though I know he’s been doing better) We all love Tuck! 😘🐶🥕

Some things are already sold out. When will you be restocking? I can't measure and order fast enough because I am a new gardener and was going to copy your wood-raised beds with netting, but now it is already done for me. And I am getting overwhelmed!!

I’m back! I’m getting out of my depression hump, I want a garden to enjoy again. I’m still going to grow in bags, tubs and food buckets (it’s what I have. I’m using my currently now older seeds. I can’t afford to replace them all (been unemployed for almost a year) wish me luck! I really need a garden for my family food and my mental health. It makes me feel great to share food with my family and friends and neighbors and get them excited about gardening. I fell out after two broken legs in May 2022. Lost everything because I couldn’t tend to it. Again, I’m hoping to get some happy veggies this year.

I’m also rooting for you. I’ve had most of my major joints replaced and I’m always in pain. But, gardening helps me to forget the pain. Plus we get health food and of course beautiful flowers 🌸. Seriously, you got this. I hope that your garden is the best ever!! 😊

Like raising chickens, the cost is more than the savings. Rocks work well to raise a bed... they also hold heat and are free.

For someone like me that have spinal injuries raised beds mean I can still grow with less chances of causing pain that prevents me from being able to grow and enjoy it with the added bonus of better harvesting.

I'm surprised Tuck didn't eat everything. I line all my raised beds with pond liner. So it really doesn't matter if the wood is pressure treated or not. Dirt right next to wood is going to rot. My big maze raised bed is still going strong after 5 years. The pond liner is tearing from the staples after all this time, but it's still doing the job.

Pressure-treated timber is fine for raised beds. The pallets that you use for pallet raised beds are pressure treated with exactly the same stuff that pressure treated timber from the timber yard is.

Mother Earth magazine had an article showing how toxins in treated wood does not migrate over into the soil and plants. Not sure what I think of that.

I like the ideas but I do wish it was less dependent on plastic. We've been learning more and more about micro and nanoplastics and the fact that recycling isn't the answer, as only 10% of plastic is recycled. This is just something to think about something to think about for the next iteration of your products. I appreciate all that you do and share, James.

James I love your channel and love watching little Tuck feast on all the food you grow. I get that affiliate marketing is apart of being a youtuber, but please also keep making DIY content and growing in-ground food forest content. It's great that raised beds have helped to make gardening more accessible for those with mobility issues, but I think it's also important to be mindful of the environmental footprint all these gardening accessories have. Identifying needs vs wants is one of the permaculture values.

Totally agree! Just made a video sharing 3 reasons NOT to buy metal beds. Affiliate marketing has made it harder to find an unbiased opinion on metal beds as influencers get kickbacks when they influence us to buy something.

they look like they might be high quality but they're 5 times the cost of the ones on amazon. If they were like 2x then I'd consider it for sure because I like the accessories but that's quite steep.

Nice to see a Jersey guy making full use of his back yard… time to expand to the front yard too. I grew up in NJ on a small holding and I was chief gardener. I had great soil which I built up over the years while pulling rocks out over the years ( it was a rocky slope ). My mother had sheep and goats and we sometimes had a beef cow and pig so ai had lots of amendments from cleaning out the pens. My Dad tolled the garden for me the first two years and after that I just mulched, mulched, mulched and applied what I cleaned from the pens. When I was no longer at home, it went to total extremely healthy weeds ( sad ). Then I ,over out west where I gardened in zone 8. Now I am back in NE VT where I garden on an even steeper and rockier slope than in NJ. We terraced much of it and did build raised beds at the bottom where it is flatter and we had to bring in rotten trees etc. to raise the level up 6’in some places. NJ has a great growing climate and the use of covers is a good idea over the metal beds. I might do that in the kitchen garden area that is flat and in which I constructed raised beds from existing raised beds that were here, but are now falling apart. Where in NJ are you? It looks more coastal and flat than where I grew up ( near Round Valley Reservoir ).

I've been farming for 15 years. I went from farming multiple acres to just one acre where I cover absolutely everything with Agribon. Row cover triples production people. If you take care of it, it lasts for years.

I use an old canoe for a raised bed. Drill some holes near the bottom and you have a raised bed with seats!

Nice to see what you guys have been up to in this challenging new year. I've had several feet of snow here for months now. Currently experiencing -10°f weather, hope it is warmer there! 💖💖💖Great to see the yung boss tearing up the fresh powder. Sorry buddy, youre not gonna be able to pull any carrots out of the ground quite yet!❤❤❤

James, I have 5 8x4 VEGO beds and I love them!!!! I've grown a huge veggie garden for five years and my freezer is full of food. I have 2 32" high beds and they are great if you have mobility issues and I have 3 17" beds for tomatoes (I grew 120 plants last year). Congrats on this wonderful decision and LOVE to you and sweet little Tuck. P.S. I've been a subscriber for a long time and you're wonderful!!!!🥰🥰🥰😀😀😀😀
