Sidra (she/her) and Ben (he/him) have been together for 19 years and this is their sixth time on {THE AND}. They consider these videos to be their personal time capsule because they can go back and appreciate how much things have changed over the years (9 and a half to be precise). They are now co-founders of a company and it has changed the way they see each other and the depth of their relationship and its dynamics. They talk about their accomplishments, their growth as a couple, as parents, co-workers and the challenges they’ve faced and ultimately overcome together, as a team.
As we explore new perspectives we invite you to step into the emotional space of connection and experience the deeper lessons that shared experiences can afford humanity. I’ve come back to this channel year after year hoping they’d return. At once point I stopped checking… then the algorithm brought them back. They’re by far my favorite people to watch on this channel. The authenticity, the intention, it’s truly a gem to get insight on such a love. They remind me of my own relationship in many ways.

Never expected I would see them again! This makes my heart whole. I love them as a couple. I can't believe I saw their first video 7 years ago. I was immature, bratty, insecure and was wishing for a love like theirs. Now I'm married, grounded in my self and still bratty sometimes but my how I've changed, but they've stayed the same, in the best possible way.

These two know how to let each other grow if not at the same time but also waiting for the other to catch up to grow that chapter together before moving to the next and not give up on each other.Sometimes we don’t grow at the same time or the same pace but waiting to end one chapter together to start the next is true love.

I absolutely love their talks and learn so much about what a relationship should be like: full of respect, admiration and humility (no need to say love because all of these things ARE true love). I have wondered the same thing because I also learned my resilience with trauma. I also have the same intense fears with sexual abuse (I have a son and sa is very common with boys too), but don't want to scare him but want him to understand a lot. You two are doing incredible.
