I started playing this. So awesome and so fun. Alex...please a ratings climb with the Scandinavian including the many many sidelines (all good for black) including 2.Nf3, 2.E5, and all the silly declines leading to caro exchanges and panova. Under 1500 this completely exualizes by move 2 - 4.

actually... this is the Blackburne-Kloosterboer gambit. the REAL Scandinavian gambit (Pavnov Transfer my hairy exit!) is played after 3.c4 defends the d pawn. 3...c6 4.dxc6 Nxc6 is the Scandinavian Gambit proper BEFORE it can transpose to a Carokann in something like 7 moves. I'm looking into it today because I am so sick and tired of playing the passive Marshall variation, especially against 2.d5 forcing a closed Sicilian and 3.d4 where I've had terrible results with EVERYTHING I've tried, but have been re-visiting the Portugese Gambit. I REALLY want to play 1.e4 e5 gambits based around ...f5, but there's so much theory required. 2.Nf6 ISN'T the Portugese either! It's the Marshall. The Portugese happens after 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Nf6 3.d4 Bg4

Can you make an under 1500 repertoire video for white and another for black? Just a quick couple of videos. And then make ones for aggressive and ones for solid long term openings.

I think I will definitely pass on this one. I am not sure I understand why I would play this over the wonderful Gurgenidze or regular Scandi.
