The reason they think its a “badge of shame” is because a lot of influencer’s have a celebrity complex, Simply Because of sheer level of attention they get short and or long term. Attention you could expect movie stars, athletes, rappers ect to attain. And so they align themselves with these types of celebrities. When a famous actor and or musician is found working a 9 to 5 they are considered failures in the public eye. Therefore like i said, influencers Align themselves with celebrities, so they think the same rules apply.

Thank you for the explanation. As a 56 yr old woman who refuses to use TikTok but watches a lot of reaction videos on KZfaq, I've always wondered what the actual heck is going on? Especially with the TikTok live and those horrible live AI things.

I actually really liked Jason when he was on vine. I was a young teen that made stupid vines as well, funnily enough he blocked me for some reason. I honestly thought it was quite funny to be blocked by a "famous" person unprovoked, but I had no idea what it is I did.

I’ll do devils advocate here. I think he has a podcast on KZfaq as well but he used to be a stand up comedian and was actually good, before the dobrik era which was admittedly golden let’s be honest. After that he kinda fell off but tbf he’s a 50(?) years old influencer social media personality in LA, what would you expect? I liked him back in the days, now I’d say the issue is having chosen tik tok as the main platform. The podcast episode with Julia Bowen is really good for example.

His downfall started when he dated Trisha Paytas, they were fine, he asked her not to eat so much (all the mukbang food was making her sick and she was complaining about it) so she wouldn't feel sick all the time and it spiraled from there Plus she flirted with half the vlog squad behind Jason's back and when they told him she accused them of wanting to either sleep with her or they were gay and wanted to get rid of her, or that David had this vendetta against her when all he said was "Jason be careful around her" Then they broke up, she jumps on Moses staff and parted the vlog seas on H3H3 blaming anyone an everyone for those days, people jumped on the bandwagon to drag David and then now the rest of the vlog squad are still making videos. Not the same views as before but they're living their lives Trisha is slowly killing her child and still bringing up Jason whenever she feels he's being too happy
