To be fair. Kentucky bourbon ages faster than Scotch because of fluctuating temperatures in Kentucky. The temperature change makes the wood absorb the whiskey in and then back out as it expands and contracts. Now whether China’s climate is actually good for this, I have no clue.

The thing you said about whisky barrels getting hot and cold does give it a different flavor and is the industry norm and a Hallmark of well made whiskey. Still an awesome video though love this is content.

About the Chinese whisky, the changes in temperature make the wooden barrels to expand and contract in a way the whisky is absorbed by the pores of the wood and then returned to the barrel. The argument behind this technique is to mature the whisky faster as in regions like Scotland these changes take a whole year to occur and the temperatures don’t usually change as drastically so it takes many more years for the whisky to mature 4:10

most of the Aviator furniture (like the egg pod chair) is from Acme furniture's Barncaster line and can be found for half the price that the hip retailers are charging, so if you like that style, look around and save some money. Example: a local retailer tried to sell me a desk from that line for 2500 (discounted to 2 grand just for you today only! of course), but then I found the same for 1300ish elsewhere. Oh, and the 6 grand coffee table is probably named for metal-sculptor Alexander Calder, and they're just trying to capitalize on the name.

I had seen an "egg pod" once before at a furniture shop that would make them to order. They are interesting for the fact that they are almost sound isolated. I could not understand the person next to me when sitting in it. So if you have kids you don't really care about, that might be the solution.

I love that normal media always shows the high dollar alcohol being worse then plain store bought alcohol ( Lupin the 3rd, Yakuza 7 just to name some pieces of media). Makes me wonder why I would ever spend a hard earned paycheck for gimmicky alcohol ( if I drank) unless I just hit a jackpot and want to throw money around lol.

@@bassmanspiff1 not exactly no. They have very warm summers and pretty cold winters. The heating and cooling is what forces the liquor in and out of the barrel. The temperature swings is what you want.

Always wanted to ride a horse, but I wasn't allowed. Horse riding was not for boys but for girls they told me. Still remember how devastated I was as a kid. They wanted me to do karate or become a boyscout, which I didn't want at all. I'm disabled now, so can't ride a horse anymore.
