It's not super-clear, but the black one I'm wearing for most of the video is also a TSFH shirt, which I've worn in the other videos. The blue SkyWorld one is new, though. ;)

The gentle piano melody midway through "Deliverance" gives me that feeling, too. I actually think Chapter III and Seven complement one another pretty well. :)

That one is still mysterious to me-it's striking some kind of emotional chord that I can't describe and haven't really heard elsewhere. Being separated from the rest of the album after "You" makes it even more unique. It's definitely my favorite from this chapter, and one of my very favorites from the Humanity series so far!

That was the most unexpected part of the album for me, and remains one if my favorite bits. It's even better for how it breaks away from most of the album's tone. :)

Right now it feels like a great ending track for the whole Humanity series. We'll have to see what the other four chapters can do to top it. ;)

@@koen2715 You're in luck! Thomas just spilled some details yesterday. Although the album is "done and ready to go," he says "it won't be any time soon" (so probably at least a three or four-month wait, like between the first two chapters). The theme seems to be "existence" or something like that, based on his comment: "Chapter IV is dramatic, energetic, powerful and rousing. It's not like any of my music for TSFH, or any of the music from the previous chapters. It's about our planet, the universe and our struggle to exist and to find a purpose in the vastness of it all." We've known for a while that "One Million Voices" and "So Small" will be included on this chapter, and he also revealed four more titles: "Made of Air," "Made of Water," "Made of Earth," and "Made of Fire"... and he says of the last one of those, "I can guarantee you you've never ever heard any music like this ever." @@danielbulcsupekh7922 he said it when it was first delayed, that he would try to release chapter IV earlier after 3 to make up for the delay. And since we know the chapter was finished since beginning of April, i hope it means he can actually release the 4 during the summer

We've been waiting more than two years for "One Million Voices"... it really can't come soon enough! Thomas said he'd try to make a shorter wait for Chapter IV due to the recent delays, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd also love Chapter V to release by the end of the years if that's not too much to ask... ;)

one million voices is a masterpiece. wish I could erase it from my memory just to listen to it fresh whenever chapter 5 is released.

Humanity intro

Check out the tracks in: Solo > Miscellaneous > Index Demo Mods! drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YDyhhRuDkHnCXWYQdmj5oZYnuDzk-EaI?usp=sharing Thomas did tracker mod electronic material as a teenager in the '90s (going by "LioZ," and contributing to the group "Index"), and there's a whole 50 minutes' worth of that material in the folder! We don't know exactly when he started sharing this music, but the earliest date I could find was 1994 for "Virtual Brainscape," which means Thomas would have been 14 at the oldest! The last of these tracks he wrote in that style is "Enigmatic Soul" (sound familiar?), and I think that's the biggest highlight of all of those. Thomas also confirmed that "Arcade Master" from the recent TSFH industry release Neon Nights was intended as a return to that demo mod style (with a few extra elements thrown in!), and you can hear references to that style with the synths in "Impossible," too. "Bird: A Short Lived Life" is apparently the first piece Thomas wrote after moving from Norway to California in the US-the title makes it seem it could have been written for a short film or something, but I don't think we have any details on its purpose. So that's basically the earliest "career" piece we know of, and Thomas wrote it when he was 22! One other neat tidbit is that "Waltz of the Willows" (which appears on the public Halloween album and the industry-exclusive The Devil Wears Nada) is actually Thomas's first live-recorded orchestral piece, though we don't know when the original recording took place. A very restrained composition compared to what he'd go on to do! ;)

@@TheWhoniversalMan Wow, thanks for all the info. Yeah, it was super funny seeing the title "Enigmatic Soul" on there. I was like "If Thomas wrote something as good as 'Enigmatic Soul' at 14, I'm effed, I'll never be a composer" 😂 But yeah, you can still hear elements of that synthrock/dubsteppy stuff in his modern work. It's really cool seeing his musical journey from teenager to 40 years old. His stuff just keeps getting better and better.

@@coalescence3835 Yeah, his skillset has expanded dramatically over the years! I find that his orchestral material doesn't start really coming into its own for the most part until around 2007 at the earliest; a lot of music before then doesn't have very strong melodies and feels disorganized. And I think 2011/2012 is where modern Thomas really begins... so it took him until age 32 (nearly twenty years) before starting to really hit his stride! Also, not to discourage you too much, but apparently he wrote "Gift of Life" earlier than a lot of other Illusions tracks at age 26. I'm turning 26 this year, so I'd better hurry if I'm ever going to be a successful composer! ;)

@@TheWhoniversalMan Yeah, I got ten years to go before 26. I wonder if at that point, I'll be anywhere near Thomas' level, haha. And yeah, it seems like this gift for really good catchy, hooky melodies is something you develop, rather than are born with (unless you're someone like Mozart.) I think it boils down to determination and hard work like he said in that one Facebook post a while back.
