You know, it's funny. I emigrated FROM America to a third-world country and you wouldn't believe what they want from me! They want to know that I am 1. Not a criminal. 2. Not sick with contagious disease. And 3. Financially able to care for myself without burdening their system. What a concept!

@Jojo bean No business has ever taken anything from me. I give it in return for something I want. If there's insufficient value in return, I don't buy whatever it is. In similar fashion, other than my years as a Marine, I worked in the corporate sector and no one I worked for got any tax dollars without delivering something the government wanted. Government, on the other hand, confiscates the work-product of useful citizens so politicians can buy votes for themselves with handouts.

@Jojo bean That's right, they get my dollars. But they get them in return for things I wanted more than the dollars. Government just takes, and in return provides some things I want along with other things I wouldn't have chosen. Unlike Walmart, they give me no choice.

@@michaelwoods4495 You don't think you're covering the taxes that corporations don't pay? You don't think your paying for inflation caused by corporate bailouts/welfare authorized by the government and funded by the fed? Isn't it funny how billions go toward the military industrial corporations "defending" the people on the lands of oil, yet little goes toward domestic infrastructure such as Trump's and Thomas Sowell's ingenious border wall? Corporate tax breaks, bailouts, tax money redistributed to foreign military invasions... as you wrote that the government forces you to pay taxes for things you wouldn't ask for... And they say socialism doesn't work. One could argues that it works so well, a government convinces it's people that it is the opposite of socialism. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled...

@@clbo9878 Why do you feel entitled to other people’s time to form your own opinions? Why don’t you learn how to do your own personal research when we live in an age of being able to research nearly anything we want at our fingertips, because of the Internet? It is a fact that that window is slowly closing though… Our overlords are hiding information that doesn’t align with what they want us to think, so it is paramount that people take advantage of the Internet while we can, doing their own research. As it is, your question makes it obvious that you heard something from someone or read social media comments that told you Thomas does all of the things that you mentioned. You want someone to hold your hand to tell you whether or not that is the correct opinion, instead of doing your own personal research to *make up your own mind* about him and what he espouses. I personally think that he is right about some things and not right about other things. That is because he works for a think tank which has a specific agenda. You need to do your own homework to figure out for yourself what you think about him and his views, and not rely on random strangers on social media to form your opinion. I am not sure if you are young or not, but I am constantly finding that the younger generation has been taught _WHAT_ to think, and not _HOW_ to think. Please learn how to think for yourself, which very much includes doing your own research.

You'd need to start with voters who weren't criminals & psychopaths. People vote for people like themselves, who are on the same moral level. It's one of the things everyone senses about others, and something difficult to hide. But I suspect most don't have a conscious awareness of it, they just naturally like people of their own ilk, without knowing why. Because other than the area of a basic moral code, there are so many differences that can confuse or make you think they are "not your kind" etc., but it's the moral sense, or feeling of what they would let you get away with if you were on their side, that people instinctively and perhaps subconsciously read in each other. It usually only takes a few minutes with someone to know whether you can BS them, or whether they will put up with your crap or not.

Illegal immigration serves the needs of the bosses by creating a two tiered wage scale and highly skilled immigrants save on the bosses education costs. The natural workings of capitalism mean higher paid skilled labor is replaced by unskilled labor and machines first.
@C_R_O_M________
@C_R_O_M________ 6 ай бұрын
@@kimobrien. it serves the professional political class first and foremost. The ones who allow them in and promise them citizenship get the votes. What these illegal immigrants will do in the future no one knows and they might even become bosses themselves (as was the case with many of the people who entered, for example, the US in the early 20th century, also illegally). So no, what you are saying is just a small fraction of what happens to illegal immigrants. Some don't even work all that much as they enter countries with extensive welfare states and exploit that. But I guess I'm talking to a wall what I try to convey the complexity of human affairs and reality to someone who, after so many deadly failures, still supports fascism/socialism/communism, the actual unholy triad of central planning!

Im Mexican and immigrated here in 2003 legally, however I have many undocumented immigrant family members and I just wanted to point out that they don’t assimilate. Don’t learn English, but then complain about unequal outcome in life. The mentality my countrymen bring to the United States is a recipe for disaster because they insist on maintaining their cultural identity from their home country. Which effectively narrows down all their choices in everything, since they can only ask Bilingual/Spanish speakers for employment/help. They don’t trust banks and don’t invest in anything that’s not empty plots of land. They also heavily ostracize any Latin who has an American identity or fluency in English. They make it a point to say you’re, “not really one of them for acting white”. They deify Drug cartel members and refuse to work in anything that’s not manual labor or music. But somehow, it’s the “gringos” fault they’re lagging behind. Thank goodness for Dr. Sowell, if not for him I would’ve never felt proud about “acting white”.
