6g fat
2g carb
1g protein
Wine/Clear Liquor/Low-Carb Beers
Red (and white) Wine
5 fl oz:

How about doing a video on what keto friendly foods can be found at an Asian supermarket? Here is a small list 1. Daikon radish, great sub for potatoes, works better than cauliflower for pizza crust. 2. Fried tofu and tofu sheets, make good substitute noodles and spring roll wrappers 3. Shirataki (konjak) noodles. 4. Garlic stems 5. All kind of green veg, for example crown daisy greens, water morning glory, moringa, perilla leaf, okra etc 6. Lotus root 7. Duck, rabbit, and quail 8. Lots of fermented veg, such as radish stems and summer kimchi 9. Curry and other seasonings 10. Different kinds of oils.

Been watching and following your stuff for a couple years already. I lost 90 pounds in 15 months and have maintained since. One thing I was surprised about in this video is the "old school keto" comment where you implied high fat is no longer current on keto. Can you please elaborate more on this? To be honest, I never did the extremely high fat part but I always followed everything else diligently.

Milk and peanut butter ... two of my favorite things. Although I did buy a jar of almond butter the other day (from Thrive Market no less) and rarely eat peanut butter, I’m not sure if I could ever give up milk forever even though I keep hearing that it’s bad for you. But that’s why I appreciate your videos. I appreciate them because you remind me of what’s healthy and what isn’t and I truly get the sense that you care about people and want them to be as healthy as they can be so I listen to you. I have cut back on the quantity of milk I was drinking, but oddly enough I was drinking some as I was watching this video and it made me feel a little guilty when you said we really shouldn’t be drinking it. All I can say is change takes time.

I think he meant in the sense of surprising “diet” foods. He kept saying “people would never guess you were on a diet... if you were snarfing down a bag of nut trail mix” But still. Anyone who hasn’t been hiding in a bunker for 20 years knows about keto and if they see you eat a bowl of whipped cream or Whisps they’d likely suspect keto.

couple thoughts: 1. Love macadamia nuts, almonds, love pecans. Haven't delved into too many other nuts, but have noticed that they are all delicious, and rich in fats. 2. Not a big fan of tracking calorie counts When I did, i just got all up inside my head and made it no fun. Tracking the main macronutrients, and making sure I get enough of the micronutrients my body needs, and eating until I am full, much easier and still end up with a good amount of "calories" eaten. 3. Love cheese and it has made keto super easy to continue to do. 4. Heavy cream I use in all kinds of things in place of milk, or even breadcrumbs in the case of meatballs. Favorite thing, making a smoothie with heavy cream, bananas (the greener the better) and raspberries. 5. I started keto a year and a half ago not because I wanted to loose weight but to stop feeling like crap. The 60lbs off is a nice plus, and I have another 40lbs I want to lose eventually, but been feeling a lot happier just cutting out those carbs and you know, food taste better now so gonna keep that up.

Hello from NC! I love your video guides on Keto. Question from a newbie here. For any future shopping trips when you get a chance. Is TAJIN keto friendly? And can this zero carb zero sugar “Seasoning Candy” (that us latinos use) might work for the Keto Flu? It has 185mg per 1/4 tsp of sodium! Thanks for taking the time to answer

I realized that the Yum Yum sauce on the Shelf at Walmart only has 3 carbs for 2 tablespoons! That is less than cream cheese and Miracle Whip which both have four carbs for 2 tablespoons. And adds a totally different flavor profile then the ranch and Southwest dressings that I normally use. Really good on scrambled eggs!

You mentioned Chomps is like having a steak with you...is it silly if I ask if it's okay to break a fast with one? Also, you've said deli meat is okay in a pinch, does that include turkey? More specifically the organic one from Applegate. I just started alternate day fasting, 36-40 hour at a time so I'm trying to find easy ways to break my fast but want it to be Thomas approved. Thanks so much for all the info you share!❤

I feel like no one has noticed the fact that you can take a blueberry keto mug cake, cut it in half throw some whipping cream and strawberries, especially a blueberry mug cake maybe even a chocolate one... Or come on you can make chaffles, and throw some whipping cream and strawberries on them, separate out some of the egg yolks to cut back on the egg flavor, use those egg yolks for another recipe, or even just add it to a protein shake or cold Brew coffee with a French press...
