I love how all this starts because Loki stole his mates bird cloak (which he doesn't need because he can shapeshift????) and decided to spy on a random person for no discernible reason

no joke, thor can lift part of the world serpert shifting the earth, drink a chunk of the ocean in 3 chugs and destroy mountains while in a illusion And for even weirder stuff, apparentely he hit a dude so hard he flew from asgard straight to helheim, but not like, killed him, but made him physically go from the living world to the afterlife, so depending on the interpretation regarding the realms, he either sent the dude flying a fuckton of kilometers or between dimensions. He also grabbed loki as a salmon so hard the other half of his body was flattened or something, and this somehow affected every samon in existence onwards Throwing hot iron so hard it messes with the laws of physics is definitely a thor thing

Fun fact: A Danish comic book series based on Norse mythology named "Valhalla" combined the stories of Odin being captured by Geirroth and this story with Geirrod being the same king. Their names are very similar, and the combination is well put together with Loki and Thor's trip being a rescue mission.

Keep in mind that Heimdall is stated to have two out of nine mothers named Gjálp and Greip, which means that Thor maybe, maybe not killed two of his maybe, maybe not brother’s family members in this story, and didn’t feel that guilty about it.

Well, they were trying to crush him to death up against the ceiling; and one of them was previously trying to drown him, not that I'm saying Thor was helpless. Still, you've gotta admit; it was pretty stupid of Geirrod to invite the guy who regularly culls his people's number to his door step, regardless of the theoretically imposed handicaps on Thor.
