As an Aussie, I literally laughed out loud so hard when I first heard korgs kiwi accent that half the kids in the cinema turned round lol. I thought it was genius. I text all my kiwi and Samoan friends after the movie to tell them about it.

@@VbaCheats Yes, they are all male, both in the movies and the comics, so likely his adoptive mother wasn't a Kronan (or we're getting a kind of transgender nod, whatever you prefer). Considering how Korg found his way to Sakaar and the nature of interstellar travel/migration, I personally think Korg didn't spend too long on his home planet either way.

Korg, a beast of rock, loses his revolution because he didn't have enough pamphlets. Paper beats rock. Korg also accidentally (he thinks) crushes his friend Mieks, an insect with scissor hands. Rock beats scissors. Korg even mentions the latter - "You've nothing to be afraid of unless you're made of scissors." It takes almost an hour for the joke to pay off. This film is top notch.

"piss off ghost" has to be the single funniest line in all of Marvel. The funniest part about the whole scene is that Korg has no idea of Loki's powers so he literally does believe he's a ghost and that's how he responds. Then Meek comes running up to help his bro out. I'm dead. ALSO, there's something hysterical about Meek slashing his claws in the background in almost every scene.

Unfortunately, Marvel takes every opportunity it gets to shove politics and LGBTQ inclusion. Nothing wrong with those things, but shoving it in when it's not needed gets annoying and comes off as desperate pandering. Like it literally contradicts krog's lore. If it was another character whose parents weren't already established it wouldn't even be weird.

@@TheRoyalPharaoh23 No worries, the movie didn't really clarify (a lot). I read the comics (not so much these days) so it was just something I knew when he mentioned the dads. I was pretty happy that they included the monosexual strange lava ritual, always like aliens being alien, haha, but I think they should have had a line in Thor: Love and Thunder roughly where Thor's like "I thought you said you had a mom?", "Oh, I did. She adopted me when I was a little rock" and Thor's like "Huh. *Moves on*". I wonder if there's a deleted scene like that?

In comics, his species are all male. He was adopted by his mom (presumably non-Krogan or nod to transgender identity maybe), so actually is still consistent.
