I went to Spendthrift farm in the sixties and is still a great memory of my life. I remember Swaps,Nashua, Damascus, Semi Pro, Round table the sire of Foolish Pleasure. I forget his name. Mr Clem Brooks showed us around. I got to rub Swaps on the shoulder. I would love to come back again to see the fabulous horses there now! Highlight of my life for sure.

wow, what a Roster of all-time TALENT!! I was a kid when Damascus ran vs Fager and that was my introduction to a lifetime of watching/betting horses.... and poor Foolish Pleasure, never got the praise he deserved bc he was overshadowed by Ruffian's death. Thanks for the memories.

he is the best son of war front (especially since his demeanor and conformation is so perfect along with his versatile talent)

Love the fact that the owner put the horse first by not racing him too much. Hopefully he does the same with him as a stud horse. There's enough greed in racing, where the horse is always 2nd

Did they just sent him to Australia? Is that permanent?
@peggypapczun29063 жыл бұрын
I don't know if he went to Australia, but if he did, it's not permanent. Omaha Beach is probably a shuttle stallion, breeding both North and Southern hemisphere mares. OB would then return for the breeding season here in the States around January.
