VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Mike, a musician, lives on a 27-foot-long 1983 international school bus. He can run all of his equipment, including a surround sound system and a modified keyboard with a monitor that emerges from behind it, thanks to the 1100 watts of solar power on the roof.
You'll notice the cabin feel as soon as you walk inside, thanks to the abundance of wood, the maple live edge counters, and the stone wall with the wood-burning stove. A three-burner gas stove, a sizable planter box under the windows, and a hammered sink are all included in the kitchen area.
The back area has a bed that lifts for additional storage, and a ladder inside that stretches to a rooftop deck where he can take in the scenery and fresh air. The bathroom has a Nature's Head toilet and shower with a unique water recycling system. Mike has maximized every square inch of his DIY tiny house on wheels!

This is my favorite of all of the skoolie builds that I have seen. It is warm and inviting and even being on the outside looking in, it feels like home. The attention to detail during the build shows in everything. The feel is seamless all the way through.

Love your build! As an Interior Designer, the details are what elevate your living space, whether it's traditional or non. Kudos!! I've wanted a log home forever, but this reminds me that the inside alone can create that feeling. P.S. Great job with the pillows ;)

I like 👍🏽 your skoolie, it's not too masculine looking, I could see myself being comfortable living inside. The remote shades that are black out are cool. You did an exceptional job 👏🏽 be proud and don't worry about how long it took ya.

Going slow and all out, gave you an awesome home.... that is one of the best bus builds i have ever seen, and basically the only "cabin" type that I have liked; I think because you have so many different textures and different color woods... and also you have mixed cabin and high tech so well.... great job!

😮 Wow! Omg where do I start..? Genius build! The genius is handsome and extremely talented! So many personal touches. Select woods and finishes! Love the lay out! The decor is minimalist, with perfect natural color selections. The shower piping, repurposing the water while waiting IS brilliant! I wouldn’t change one single fragment of this build! Wow! Such a talented young man! Gorgeous conversion! I DO agree with him though...keep it simple....I personally am keeping my conversion simple because I'm 56 and "tomorrow" isn't promised to any of us....I don't want to waste nearly three years to convert my skoolie....would rather be on the road now with a basic build and appreciate every single day I'm blessed with. It's a really nice build and he may think that having something simple is a better option, but hes got quite a bit of luxury and comfort! After all that work. I can't imagine he'd be remiss to sell it to get something less accommodating. It's true that something nice takes time, especially when you're being thorough. But it's something he can enjoy and live in comfortably for quite some time.

OMG....definitely not a dimple design. Very beautiful build, decor. How talented you are. Creative also. Do you feel the weight on the passenger side from the batteries, stone, water tank? It seems like you would but apparently it works. Good luck in your music career. If that isn't enough you can always convert busses for people. Enjoy, safe travels young man.
