February 9-10 is the 7 year anniversary of the most physically traumatic experience I've had. This is the first year I've been completely sober during it. It's also the first year I've been alone during it. I've honestly had a much harder time than I anticipated, but all the crying I've done over the past couple of months has really been so cathartic. There are so many layers to the event that I've been unpacking, and so much loving and forgiving I've been doing. I know I still have a long way to go in my healing process, and I feel good about the work I've done thus far.
This video could potentially be triggering for those who have experienced sexual, or any kind of trauma (or those who haven't). And my hope is that by relaying me thoughts and feelings through this video, that I am able to connect to and help others.
