The Priory of the Orange Tree is soooooo amazing!! And the best thing is that its broken into 5 parts which makes it less intimidating. Ir is definitely a fave of 2020 for me!

So glad you were excited about Priory! :) I didn’t end up finishing it during tome topple because it’s such a chonker... I think you should read City of Brass first!! I LOVE the Daevabad trilogy!

Priory of the Orange Tree and This is How You Lose the Time War are two of my favorite books from last year. Priory of the Orange Tree was so good it only took me eight days to read it.

City of Brass is just so good. It's so atmospheric and the characters are so dense and well-developed and there are no easy solutions and I just love it so much.

Definitely the ones you described as juicy: The Priory of the Orange Tree and Seven Devils. This Is How You Lose the Time War was one of my absolute favorites of 2019. I’ve been excited for Star Daughter, so definitely that too.

Malice!!!! John Gwynne writes some of the most feeling male characters I've ever read. And all the characters should be protected.

@@sweety90 the third book is the slowest but well worth it. I love this series and the companion trilogy that takes place in the same universe 100 years after the ending of Wrath. 😊😊

I read THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE THE TIME WAR earlier this year, then re-read it a couple months ago. It suffices to say it’s my favourite book of 2020 even though the year isn’t over yet 😍😍 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!

I’m reading The Expanse series this year (8 are currently published and one more due soon). I love the TV series, which goes up through Cibola Burn. Nemesis Games was the book where I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was a favorite read this year.

They're incredible! If you enjoy them, Elizabeth May co-wrote Seven Devils which came out this year. Also incredibly good, definitely more sci-fi and I'd say geared for a more mature audience.

Also, I finished Set Fire to the Gods a week ago, and I really enjoyed it! If I had the sequel I would have binged it straight away. Excited to watch the bookclub discussion and see if you guys agree with my assessment of it or not, but I won't be writing my thoughts here because I hate seeing "spoilers" even if it's just about character development or world building when I am currently reading a book, so I will hold off my thoughts for the live stream.

I cannot recommend the Riyria series (Michael J. Sullivan) enough. The series improves with each book. I don't want to oversell, but I can honestly say the third book in the installment is up there as one of the best books I've read. Thanks for this video - gives lots of great ideas!

I love The Shadows Between Us and hope you’d enjoy it! But before going into it, it’s better to be aware that the story is wholly based on the juicy romance and don’t expect anything from the setting and world building😂

Thoughts on Tomes I had the same thoughts going into it, especially cuz I hit a wall about 75% of the way into Way of Kings, but honestly I didn’t experience that at ALL with WoR. There was a chapter that had me running around my apartment yelling that I still think about daily 😂

So many of these are on my list as well! I’m looking forward to: the tower of Nero by Rick riordan the fifth and final book in the Apollo series. Because, I just read the fourth one and I’m not okay with that ending. Also, I got an arc of Christina Lauren’s new book too! But might save it for December is that bad? I also preordered: the other side of the sky, the tower of Nero, lightbringer (haven’t read the second one yet), Tristan strong destroys the world, and grown! Super excited for all of those!

priory is my favourite book of all time, i hope u enjoy it (pls do a review of it when u finish!) the daevabad trilogy is a more recent read for me but i also LOVED it, if priory is my fave individual book daevabad may be my fave series
