This game has given me a new level of respect for the chef. Reminding Jinx of rules etc when it’s clearly been a long day for her, even though it’s a competitive game. This was not only a great game but a master class in how a competitive game of 40K can be played without the need to be a competitive douche. Nicely done chef.

I think that Wrath of Magnus is a good Secondary, because it refers to models destroyed by Psi-Powers and not units...and for Ms Kate: nothing to notice on your face...the paintjob was good!!!

Excited to see Eldar again been played competitively but Ghost axes are no longer -1 to hit (Maybe an overhang from 8th and it's understandable have made that mistake myself) and the paragon sabre you want to take Heart strike for the mortals on 5+ to wound.

that was a real interesting game - with some funny dice rolls in between Now with strategic reserve for free I would send the hellbrutes more often in reserve. Helps out the short range of the MMs and they survive the first-two turns. Was at the beginning oft unclear how you used your cabal points as I felt you didnt use any like making your smites happening like you did in later turns Nice fight Jinx! Not a eldar expert so cant say much but i think your summary in the end was relly good

For this mission and opponent I agree with your secondary picks. I might have taken banners or RBD over BEL IF I knew my opponent was very skilled at screening. T-Son secondaries are always very fluid depending on the mission and your opponent. Saying that, if there is an enemy caster for me to blow up I almost always take Sorc Prowess.

I’m more okay with the orbital strike gambit succeeding on a die roll, because it could occasionally be possible for the gambler to be in a very reliable position to succeed in their gambit if it were not random and then we lose the incentive to try and turn around a close game by playing for primary normally.

Great game jinx and chef! If you decide to keep the Shining Spears in your list I highly recommend using the Exarch power Heartstrike. Since the Exarch is only S4 you’ll be more than likely wounding on a 5+ anyway. So adding in a MW per 5+ is really nice.

Combo that with the paragon blade and you can reroll all hits and wounds on the exarch It gives him a pretty consistent 3-4 MW and ap4 saves

I really love the league games and am happy they are going again. I thought the Craftworld list was going to have a struggle later on because the one thing the Aeldari don't have is a lot of mortal wound resistance. I've never had a lot of luck against lists that were all smitey smites. I think with a bit of tweaking this could be top 3 though. Speed and more speed is needed.

Psychic Dominion doesn't require you to 'sacrifice' another psyker's deny, just to be within 6" of another unit that could attempt to deny.

In general, banners is better than sorcerous prowess because of the 'guaranteed' points. A savvy opponent will be able to deny lots of points from sorcerous prowess. The number of objectives and your opponent's army composition also factors into the choice. I have found that going for character assassinations early on to score sorcerous prowess is usually a trap. Characters tend to be significantly easier to kill later on in the game in turns 4 and 5.

Metaphysical focus gives you the ability to psychic action and cast a normal spell. It doesn't require you to also spend for great sorcerer another power.

Interesting, as I read it as you're eligible to manifest a power, but if you can only manifest one power, you've already used it to do the Action. Happy to save the CP if that's the case though 😅 - Chef

@@tabletoptactics that is how I originally read it too. But it states you can do a psychic action and cast a power. It provides the "extra" cast. It's most efficient on the single cast casters but can be used on our 2 cast casters too.

I feel like all those hellbrutes should start in reserve. And I think they have that sexy strat where they can shoot back in the opponent's shooting phase at the unit that attacked them, OR at the closest enemy unit. Not sure if it's available only to CSM, or to Thousand sons as well...

Arks of Omen is all about abusing reserves. Now it's free knowing what to reserve and screening is a core skill. And I agree, having stuff like hellbrutes crashing into your flanks will always put your opponent on edge. My last game I reserved 2 units and I should have reserved 1. my opponent reserved 3 deff dreds and 6 killa kans and 2x5 stormboyz and it was a great play and kept the pressure on me all game. I think any time you're going to struggle to hide the lot reserves is a good option too.

I haven't watched it yet but i usually pick banners. Against craftworlds prowess might be a better choice actually because of the small and low wounds units and their squishy psykers

Eldar can advance and fire assault as if they stood stationary, the other half of the battle focus ability! Just a tiny brief line in the batrep that the wraithguard hit on 4s, doesn't change anything... Maybe you get to it later!

I follow you from Milan Italy. Great match. I'm a beginner thousand sons player and with your videos at 0.75 speed I'm also learning English. I really like your list, also because I believe that troops and duplicity are the real strength of the TS. how about replacing a Helbrute with a mutalith? more model wounds, cool and draws fire... What's the use of ardent automaton if you don't have any actions to do in the secondary ones? how about grim them down with SORCEROUS PROWESS ? one follows the other target. what order is there between the demon prince and Ahriman?

I haven't played since 2nd Edition (yes, I'm old) but I'm loving all of these videos. So many new rules! Also, so many cool new characters and factions. Not a fan of Necrons though.
