Great stories, I sold my collection to Chris this past November in NJ. Chris was a gentleman through the whole process, out of all the possibilities to sell my collection,I felt I would trust him out of everyone. He’s fair, honest and very respectful, Highly recommend Chris to anyone wanting to sell their cards.

I absolutely love "disgruntled collectors" stories. those folks are always in the wrong, and yet they go through life never realizing how awful they come off to other people. that area of psychology is so fascinating. ive been dealing with collectors for over twenty years; a few years in the baseball card business, and over two decades in the vintage nintendo business. collectors can be very friendly, of course (any group will have kind people it in somewhere) but the people who collect and are obsessed with material possessions can also be THE WORST type of human. please upload more of these, even the three-minute stories are enthralling. thanks for your time!

I attended a Red Sox vs Angels game last year, which happened to be Jackie Robinson day, and ended up in the background of Mike Trout’s ToppsNow for his 300th career double. Not only is the card of one of one of the greats, it also has Shohei in the back on deck… Needless to say I’ve been attempting to complete the rainbow, but haven’t seen the 1/1 pop up for sale

The first story: When you know the seller is going to be sky-high on their asking price, make them go first. Then you can bow out and say something like, "Unfortunately, we won't be able to come to an agreement." Even if they insist that you give them a number, don't bother. It will save a lot of hassles.

In the case of the 6K card & the fact that someone with your card knowledge has no clue about some of todays millions of different modern cards that are printed each year makes me think that nobody 30 years from now will know cards like that exist bringing there value down. The demand may be more scares those kind of cards. Everyone will know and want Hank and JRs RCs but not so much this stuff. Just my guess.

When someone offers to sell me junk wax, I ALWAYS feel bad about what I’m going to offer, if anything as it’s usually a waste of time. I tend to soften the blow with tons of context 🙃 “These are great cards, but…” “You are not going to like my offer…”😬 And I’ll even show comps, etc.. That customers reaction was childish though and Chris did nothing wrong. Great video!
