This routine actually looks like it would be a good coordination exercise. You have to follow the simple spoken instructions, while at the same time making sure you take off/put on the hat and hold the cane with the correct hands. Start with the hat on your head and the cane in your left hand. "Take off your hat." (Take off the hat with your right hand.) "Raise your right hand." (Put the hat back on your head, then raise your hand.) "Now place your left hand here." (Put the cane in your right hand, then place your left hand on the bible.) "Please take off your hat!" (Put the cane back in your left hand, and take the hat off with your right hand.) Repeat several more times, going faster each time. Then on the final "Take off your hat," keep the cane in your left hand and put the hat on top of the cane.

I never knew there was a color version of this episode. I love how you can see the leather helmet on his head when he fell in the chair. That's all you got back then. My favourite part has to be when Larry does his Tarzan scream.
