Hi, great video! I want to apologize in advance for such a long comment but I think it will totally help hunters everywhere when it comes to using the tactacam2.0. I have the Tactacam2.0 and love it and will never go hunting without it, but with that said I would like to share 2 MAJOR TIPS with you when using it!!!!!!!!!! 1. Due to the Tactacam's 3x zoom the gopro's (and other) wide angle lens let in tons more light in low light situations. I know from years of hunting that a lot of my shots have been right after sun up or just before sun down. I have a video on my page listed as " Bow Hunting Heart Shot on Tactacam and GoPro2" where I harvested a 8 pointer that you guys can view as an example. The buck I shot in the video was 5 minutes after sun up. During the video editing I had to enhance the lighting about 3x's to make out the buck but then there was redness in the video clip. TIP #1= Use your tatacam but please bring a backup cam just in case your have the shot of a life time in low light situation! 2. I shot a Red Fox last week of the season with .223 (same set up as the buck I shot, gopro on head and tactacam on weapon of choice). It was about 8am so there was plenty of light but it was only 10 -15 degree's F. The Gopro2 camera turned on fine in the drastic cold weather but the down side is the 8 yard shot looked like it was a 30 yard shot. I was excited to see the tactacam video but the camera turned off about 2-3 seconds into recording (battery was fully charged 3 hrs prior to turn on). The tactacam is an all metal camera so the batteries die very fast in extreme cold weather. TIP # 2= Bring hand or foot warmers with you and wrap around back of tactacam where battery is located with heavy rubber band or whatever works best for you. Again, sorry for the long comment but I hope these two tips can help you capture what could be a shot of your life time on video!

I have the 2.0 and it is just about worthless in low light, which is when many shot opportunities occur. Normal view on 1080 at 30 frames per sec and 3x zoom on 720 at 60 frames per sec which is better for less jerky slow motion. 1080 may be a little better in low light, but nothing replaces the low light ability of a normal zoom Sony Handicam on 1080 60 frames per second. Zooming in and out also makes for more interesting video and way better sound quality. Also allows you to film animals at long distance. I turn off the digital zoom and just use the 30x mechanical zoom. Much better quality at long distance. These two types of cameras work great together.

Thanks guys. And Mike Turmel I put this together for a friend that has been getting more into filming and would like to stick to the POV camera because of the one push recording feature. He is trying to up his skill every time out. And in about a week Iowa Outdoor Productions will be starting a weekly video blog the will air each Wednesday showing everyone what type of good or bad luck we are having while out hunting. So keep an eye open for the new videos.

Ralph C thanks for watching...I’m sorry you don’t approve...the whole story was told with a early model tactacam which was built with video quality not audio quality. Not the case anymore. No need to insert your opinion like a ass clown...you could have been a gentleman..but they are hard to come by anymore it seems...

@@thewebersway only you would know what a ass clown is.. I sure as hell don't... What can I say loud music on hunting videos sucks to me. I don't wear ear phones in the woods or listen to music while hunting. To each his own...

Ralph C it’s all over every other hunting/outdoor show/video. You must not like a lot of videos? A musical background seems to be the norm. Although I don’t use it often, if you looked into any of our other videos before commenting.
