THRIFT FLIP CHALLENGE COLLAB
This AAPI Heritage Month I wanted to do something special to uplift Asian voices so I'm doing a series of Thrift Flip Challenges with some of my fellow Asian Sewists. This is the second video in my series and this week I'm collaborating with Veejay Floresca ‪@veejayfloresca‬ ♥️ Veejay is a Filipino fashion designer who's based in LA and makes everything from streetwear to bridal, and she also does custom work!
Thrift Flip Challenge Rules: $10 budget to thrift one or multiple items that we have to flip into a new outfit. In this video, Joanne sent me a very dated two piece set and a little bit of trim to upcycle. I was really inspired by vintage playsuits and ended up making this matching set! I'm really proud of this one because I figure out how to make shorts that look like a mini skirt! Make sure you check out Joanne's video to see what I sent her and what she turned it into!

I see a lot of thrift flip videos, but most often they just alter the pieces to fit them or to style them in a different way, but you completely change the outfit. You are really really magician.

With the length of the dress you can pair it with leggings , boots and sweater underneath the dress top for winter!

The dress is great, veejays dress is great ..your response to veejays dress was kinder ridiculous though ...it was so overly dramatic ....which was kinder silly... apart from that, it was a great collaborate.... ❤❤
