THRIFT SHOPPING: Antique China Head Doll and AG size Doll Shoes

I am very excited about today's thrift shopping finds. I found an antique china head doll! She does have some hairline cracks but this is a very large doll and for her age, over a hundred years old, she is in overall good condition. I found a bag of 18 inch doll shoes perfect for American Girl, Our Generation and Journey Girl dolls. The three small plastic buckets that would be great in an American Girl doll laundry room. The small all porcelain doll is a Patricia Coffer doll named Tansie, purchased originally for her coat but I'm going to keep her in our collection.

That gem of the day is truly a treasure. I would have grabbed her up immediately too. I also love that little girl in the coat. She has the sweetest little face! She and the big antique dolly look like they have bonded. I would display them together.

I also would like to know if you would ever do a video showing us what to look for when looking at or picking up porcelain dolls as far as reproductions vs ones worth more.

that is a great suggestion, I will keep in mind. In general if the doll is porcelain and marked with the words collectible, heirloom, limited edition, or similar words, they have little resale value. These dolls were manufactured just to be collected.

That China head doll is a steal for $10.99. Wow! She might be a "Griener" style civil war flat top, which were produced sometime around 1850, I think, so she might pre-date the 1860's. I hope you kept her. I have two gorgeous large civil war dolls and a few dollhouse sized flat tops. I also collect those Hertwig china heads and the Pet names too. I have never found such a lucky find in any thrift store. Even though she's cracked, she still worth a lot and every little imperfection in my TLC dolls makes me love them so much more. I enjoyed your video. 😊 she appears to be a big China head doll too. Also if you happen to find the flat tops with brown eyes (instead of blue), then those are really super rare.

Great deal on the shoes. I went to thrift store day after Christmas, they had a lot of doll shoes which I thought was a bit high. $1.50 a pair, 75 cent a pair, 1 good bag 5 pair for 2.00. I got them because I don't find them often in our thrift stores. Your little doll with the coat is so adorable 💙💙⭐⭐⭐

Have you ever noticed how for boy dolls they always like half-manufacture it? For example: girl doll had a long lushes flowing wig with an elegant dress and heels. Boy doll: has a shirt, pants and we will give him molded hair 😂

I have a couple doll questions. What is the difference between a Disney animator and a regular Disney doll? Why don't you collect Lalaloopsy dolls? I really like your chanel, and your thrift store doll hunts. 😁

Disney Animators were created by the animators of the Disney movies that the dolls represent. The dolls have side glancing big eyes and are shaped like toddlers. If you need help and have pictures, feel free to email me.

We used to collect Lalaloopsy dolls when the girls were younger , now I buy them for their clothes.

How much would the Chinese doll go on a auction?

great question, the value of china head dolls is not great at auction. The one I purchased is large and will bring more money ($50-$75). In general the medium size ones are selling at auction for ($25-$50)

@@BENEDOLLS ahh thanks for answering. I was really curious I also love finding valuable stuff in thrift stores and yard sales for low prices. It really gives you a kick. I mostly collect anime stuff, action figures, manga and disney stuff
