We just finished the school year here in New York! I am excited to have some time to tackle some projects in our home. In today's video, I shared the process of painting our outside furniture cushions with Rust-Oleum

Clear nail polish for the buttons or paintable varnish. Then maybe scotch guard them? I’m so happy you are pleased. Sometime we are too hard on our own projects. 🧡🖤🧡

I’m so proud of you for not giving up! Remember with any project, there is almost always an “ugly” phase that we need to work through. It looks amazing on your porch; so much better than the leaf pattern!

this makes me want to do this to my ugly couch. I never heard of this spray paint before. what fun it would be to do my couch. thanks for sharing and not giving up. i like that it is kind of faded. it gives it charm.

The chairs look very nice. For the buttons you could try using Outdoor Modge Podge on them.

Wow, I really love the color you chose. What a beautiful outdoor seating area! I didn’t even know they made fabric spray paint; I’ll have to get some for some projects. For the buttons, you can get some clear coat to paint them and seal in the blue so it doesn’t rub off. Get something you can paint with a brush.

Hold the can upside down when it clumps and give it a short burst to clear the nozzle. Also spray in a sweeping motion to avoid the splotches. 😊

That is soooo adorable maybe you could use clear finger nail polish on the buttons but maybe they just need more dry time

I think they look great!! I wonder if you had misted them with water if the paint would have been smoother. You might could take a buffing brush and brush them out to smooth out the paint. Just a few tips from a furniture flipper.

Ah-mazing! I know that regretful feeling when you start something new. But it turned out fantastic! Personally, I'd suggest a light coat of a mat Mod Podge on the buttons. Maybe that would seal the buttons?

Great job! They look really nice. I didn't realize they made spray paint specifically for fabric. That's good to know! 😊 I was wondering if you took some Modpodge & hand painted the buttons with it. Maybe the modpodge would seal in the paint & prevent it from lifting off? Kinda like how a top coat does for nailpolish on our fingers. 💅 😊
